Chisun Hotel Ueno Tokyo

Personnel assez froid et pas tres serviable, chambre tres petite et sentant le tabac. nous ne reviendrons pas

Very small room (we had a standard double) with same basic items in japanese hotel rooms. rooms did not smell much of smoke even though we had a smoking room although we requested a non-smoking room. very good location close to Euno station (good for yamonate JR line for JR rail pass holders) and park, market shops and museums. can easily walk to Asakaksa area. free internet in foyer and many convenience shops nearby. the area is not so nice by japanese standards of neighbourhoods (the odd paper litter can be found !) but this aspect of the location should not worry people. if you had a choice of this hotel or one in the ginza area then go for the latter. overall its ok but just a place to stay

Good location, between the Ueno train stations at Ueno Park and Akasuka. 2 blocks off Akasuka dori. Convenient to get to on the Keisei train from Narita airport. Cramped (in comparison to western standards) but comfortable and quiet rooms, at an excellent price in a very expensive city. Free TV gets only Japanese programming. Staff speaks enough English to get by.

Been to Tokyo many times and Chisun is far better than our previous choice in the area at virtually the same price. Chisun is a short walk from Ueno Station, which is the best in city for taking train to anywhere around city. Plus Tokyo National Museum is located in Ueno Park. Small restaurants, 7 Eleven conven. stores (Beer!),small food market, a McDonalds are all along Asakusa Dori, coming out of Ueno Station. We prefer this location because once you get your bearings, it's very easy to travel around the city. Also coming into the city from Narita Airport and returning there is a snap traveling on the Keisei Line (Limited Express, 1000 yen, 1 hr m/l).

It was relatively close to the JR Ueno station. It would probably be easier to find if it wasn't pouring rain and dark when I arrived. Luckily I printed a map and used it. I still had to circle around a few times. The hotel is off the main road on a side street. The hotel staff spoke little english but it was fine and they were able to find my reservation no problem. Room was small but was as advertised. Clean and quiet, no hassle. Relatively good price for a stay in Tokyo. It supposedly isn't far from the Asakusa area, a tourist highlight.

This hotel is in a very quiet part of town. We would have preferred a more lively location, and will not stay at Ueno again. However, the Chisun Ueno is close to the station and surrounding attractions (park and museums). The room was large compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Japan, but the facilities were average (particularly given the price.) If you dislike cigarette smoke, make sure who insist on a non-smoking floor. We were initially placed on a smoking floor and the smell in our room was so overpowering that it made us feel sick. However, the hotel staff were very responsive and moved us to a non-smoking floor the next morning.

Hotel bien situado, cerca de la estación de tren JR. Muy limpio con internet gratuito, pero no incluye desayuno.

Excellent hotel pour Tokyo. Situé à 2 minutes à pied de la station de metro inarichio. Quartier très calme et agréable bien que situé au coeur de la ville. Tout Tokyo est accessible facilement depuis cet endroit. Chambre très bien tenue bien que petite. Acceuil très agréable. Restaurant au pied de l'hotel très peu cher et très pratique. Vraiment parfait...
