wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Tolle Poolanlage und das Hotel liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade mit vielen Geschäften. Zimmer waren noch nicht ganz fertig, da im Umbau. Hochwertige Badmaterialien. Zimmer im Erdgeschoss haben über den Balkon direkten Zugang zum Pool - Toll!

On arrival after 18 hours travel, a cash deposit of 3000 baat demanded. Upgraded room not cleaned properly and directly above the nightly very loud entertainment. The hot breakfast was cold every day. Wake up call not received and very expensive day trip almost missed. Front desk useless. Sadly disappointed by the attitude and inept front desk. Probably.our worst travel decision ever.

The Hotel was better than I expected and many of the rooms are being freshly renovated, but the noise wan't a problem.

The "superior" room (which is actually the cheapest one) is terrible and has no windows. It also has a weird door that doesn't close very securely (but judging from the pics, maybe all rooms have that kind of door). Over all a pretty decrepit room: the furniture is old and worn, the whole room smells like old moldy wood, on the other side of the bathroom wall, there's an industrial kitchen or something that makes noise, the room itself is right behind the reception and close to the are where they have live music every evening... so it's pretty loud. I didn't really care about that part though because I was out until about 3am every night, at which point the hotel was quiet. Oh, and did I forget to mention that I saw 2 cockroaches in the bathroom on 2 separate occasions? I didn't get a "clean" feeling from that hotel. The swimming pool is nice - much nicer than the room. The restaurant and bar are also good, and the food is tasty and reasonably-priced, at least for the Thai portion of the menu; if you wanna order a steak or pasta or some other western dish, it's not gonna be that reasonably priced. The live band was really good. The location is pretty good - walking distance from the main party street (and just across the street from the beach). So over all it's a decent hotel, but the rooms are bad - at least the "superior" rooms. From the pics it looks like the "deluxe" and higher rooms are much better... but I haven't seen them in person so I can't say much. There are better hotels in the area for the same price. Also, there's an "additional person charge" if you wanna bring someone to your room in the night, just FYI. (I didn't do it, but I saw the sign at reception).

Perfect spot across the road from the beach. The breakfast buffet is nice with omelets, bacon sausage, and all kinds of cold cuts. The fruit is very good and the hours 6:30-10:30 reach everyone. Be careful on the beach with the umbrellas rented for shade as they let many rays through and I got a terrible sunburn. There are many fine and reasonable restaurants nearby and the restaurant at the hotel is very good and pleasant sitting outside near the road. What a wonderful experience!!

Plus points:- Good swimming pool. Just over a busy road from the beach. Minus points:- Booked a hotel taxi from the Airport to hotel which never arrived, called hotel only to be told to get myself to the hotel. On arrival at the hotel it took 2 weeks to get my money back. Construction noise all day, every day. Pool sun lounges are hard wood and very uncomfortable. Room a/c went hot and cold as it wanted to. Room a/c burst and flooded the room. Reception is a shambles if more than 2 checking in, it takes forever. Requested a low floor and was put on the 2nd to top floor. lift broke down a few times. Theres a 1000 Baht joiners fee per night.

Hotel Baan Laimai offers modern rooms at affordable prices. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The restaurant had a very good breakfast buffet and OK service in general. Location is very well as it was in front of the beach. It is located near to all the main atractions in phuket beach. Overall a good value.
