BEST WESTERN PLUS Royal Palace Inn & Suites

Thanks to your staff we had the perfect stay. So accommodating when we wanted to use tables for a festive meal! Give those folks a raise! They understand hospitality!

There's not much that is fancy about this Best Western: from its drab ccorporate green carpeting in the hallways to it's modest, slightly crowded breakfast area, it's details quicky let you know you are in a budget hotel. But that is also it's great strength.You don'tgetfrills, but you get every essential -- a clean room, a small but functional bathroom, courteous service. I was surprised by the roominess of my bedroom - work area space. In my two days, I received nothing but courtesy when I spoke to the staff. The men who do valet parking at no charge were a pleasure. For the work do, the hotel's west side location two minutes from the 405 freeway make it hard to resist. I plan robe back.

Clean rooms with simple amenities. Geat value. The flight home on air tran was horrible. Poor service in the airport. They didn't care.

Excellent room. It had all I needed including a jacuzi which I did not use. Great shower and hot water. Very nice selection at the complimentary breakfast. Free L.A. Times. Initially parking is a bit tricky.

Rooms are big, very clean and well organized (refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, a big table, free wireless internet connection,etc.). If you do not have a car, it is a perfect location: you can reach almost everything by bus (airport, UCLA, Santa Monica, Venice, etc.). The only thing I did not like is the breakfast: poor and definitely not good).

The hotel was nice and clean and perfect for what my friend and I needed for the 5 days we spent. The managment were very friendly and helpful with everything. the only downside was you can hear everything in the next room, including the snoring man which kept my friend awake all night!

Unfortunately we were traveling due to death. We slept in our room, it was clean and served our purpose perfectly.

Although one can predict with some level of certainty what he or she will be encountering based on value and neighborhood, there are some areas within the hotel business that should not be open to compromise. My room was not ready until 4:00. Although the front desk checked me in,and gave me a key, the bed was stripped and the room was not ready for occupancy. I changed into a bathing suit, went to the pool and asked the maid if she could ready the room within an hour. She obliged. The light over the bathroom mirror took fifteen minutes to light up. This made for a difficult situation as the purpose of my visit was to attend a formal affair. I needed to do my hair and make-up and the only light that was predictable was the light over the shower stall. The shower stall had a shampoo dispenser that was empty and no shampoo was provided. The continental breakfast was average. The bananas were very green and the bagels were stale. The breakfast are was not cleaned well and there were multiple spills. As stated above, these are areas that should not be open to compromise. I feel this is an aging motel that is on the way downhill.
