The toilet didnât flush. We wanted the bottom floor but was told it was sold out. Air conditioning was very loud. There was very limited food options.
They first room had Bed bugs when I pull the sheets back and then they gave us another room and it was roaches in there so it was definitely a bad experience to me.. I did check the reviews before I book but I didnât see any bad ones so
Clean except for carpet. The motel was filled with Floridians evacuating Milton. The motel and the town itseelf treated us unexpectedly well. Much appreciated
Not bad, needs a little updating in the rooms but overall it fit our needs for a close location for a wedding. They replaced the towels daily so thatâs a plus :) no breakfastâŠbooo
We had to evacuate to LA (lower Alabama) because of HurricaneMilton. With 2 dogs, our options were limited so our expectations of a Motel 6 were realistic, but it was all we could find. We were pleased by the nice people at check-in. I suspect it is a family run business. The room was very sizeable. We were able to put up 2 large kennels and still have room to move around. However, the room was filthy! We founda Walmart in Eufala and bought stuff to mop the floors and wipe the counters. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet even though I believe that almost every other occupant had a dog or 2 or 3.
The best part was that there was a recreational facility 0.6 miles down the road with ball fields. I was able to play frisbee with my hyper dogs to help them deal with the confinement of being in a hotel.
Oh and I would be remiss to leave out that the people of Abbeville were unbelievably kind to us evacuees. Each night, members of different congregations brought dinner for all of us occupants. And a gas station owner gave us each a gift card for his store. So heartwarming! It made a challenging situation into a reminder of the kindness of most people.
The staff at this hotel is outstanding. We came here to evacuate from Hurricane Milton & they have been so accommodating & caring about all the guests here. (Most of us are evacuees with pets.) Local churches have been bringing food & drinks daily too. Cleaning staff comes daily to ask what we need & is very efficient. This is a great place to stay.
