I have stayed at this Canterbury Inn many times. Almost every other vacation to the WA coast. I have stayed in this exact room 3 times. This is the first we had a very poor experience. Cleanliness was poor. Our dishwasher filter had pet hair, sand and old food stuck in the filter trap. The dishes in the cabinet had dried stuck on food. I used the outside hose at the sand washing station to clean the filter. The gentleman during the nightshift at the counter was super nice and helpful but I couldn't wait till the next morning to do the dishes. We needed clean ones the next morning. Pots and pans felt oily and had residue. We basically washed everything before we could use it. We had 4 families total at the Inn and 2 out 4 had similar experiences. We were all on different floors or halls. Our neighbors were loud! Playing loud music after 10pm. Barking dogs during the night. Dogs were unleashed outside. We basically didnt sleep for a few days. We checked out earlier than anticipated and cut our stay short due the neighbors. Again the gentleman at the night desk was super kind but his hands were tied. The only bathroom with a shower didn't have a working ceiling fan vent. We never heard back from housekeeping or maintenance. We placed one of the provided box fans in the bathroom to provide circulation. Overall it wasn't the experience we have had in the past.

This place was great. Very clean. We had our own little kitchen. Im a clean freak and always worry about staying at hotels. But i was very happy with how clean everything was. The pool was also very nice. Would definitely stay again. One of the nicer hotwls at Ocean Shores for sure!

Fabulous Stay

Fabulous place to stay. Booked for one night coming out of Olympic NP. Has a small apartment feel to it and a covered balcony overlooking the sand dunes to the Pacific Ocean. Would book this place again!

This was a great place stay for our beach visit. We loved the trail behind the building to the beach. The room had a lot of space and made it very comfortable. The staff was great very friendly.

This was my husband and I’s first time staying here and we will definitely be back! The staff were really nice and the room was beautiful and clean. The hallways elevator are a little dated and kind of creepy but the rooms are very updated.

Didn't like the carpet in the master bedroom, smelled like wet dog. Most rooms r dog friendly so why would you have a smelly carpet. The toilets were so low, had a heck of a time getting off of them. Needed more dish soap daily when you have 7 people staying and cooking in the rooms. Had to buy toilet paper paper towels. For the money it wasn't worth it. Had a emotional stress dog and was chared 25.00 dollars a night. Never have that happened. The front dest clerk was was rude about it. Us who have mental illness can't help they need their partner to help them. For the price we paid not worth it.

I had a studio room on the third floor. Each unit is decorated independently and mine was really impressive. The blue and white tile, countertop and sink made it look fancy. The cute table was useful. The blue chairs were cute but worn on the arms. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge, stovetop and sink were useful. There is no dishwasher so dishes must be hand washed. The patio was nice. One thing that was irritating was the noise from the outdoor seating area/back grassy area below travels up to all the rooms if you use the screen door. There must also be a smoking area down there because pot smell was entering my room from below. Unpleasant.
