We stayed overnight as part of our motorcycle road trip. This was a very nice hotel with very friendly owners and staff, and suited our needs perfectly. They made us feel welcome from the start. They let us keep some of our bikes in the garage for security and parked thei car across the bsck of the bikes left outside .. We didnât have an evening as we'd already eaten en route, but breakfast was very nice. All in all, we had a great overnight stay and were made to feel welcome from the start. We will definitely be staying here again on next years road trip..
Warm welcome upon check in, generous sized room and en-suite for solo traveller, comfortable bed, equipped with kettle, tea, coffee, etc. Very enjoyable dinner in-house and also breakfast. Staff were very helpful in recommending places to visit. Would be very happy to return.
This was a stopover on the way to local sights in Wales. The room was a bit disappointing. We didnât find it super clean, the ceiling was low(top floor room), bathroom small, shower didnât drain well⊠with that said it was quiet and the little restaurant was decent. We had dinner and the server was very nice and made sure we had what we needed. The meal was ok. We have stayed places much better for less.
First thing that hits you on arrival is the drainy, greasy 'off' smell in the reception area and stairs. The carpet reminded me of a pub in the 80s with that slightly sticky feel. The room was 2 floors up through odd fire doors, it was a tiny attic room, you banged your head on the ceiling getting out of bed. The room was hot and oppressive so the window was open all night resulting in cars and lorries driving past waking you constantly. We had no view of and mountains.
The bathroom reminded us of being on an aeroplane. The shower was tiny with a broken door. The whole place smelled of damp.
Plus points: the bed was actually comfortable and the staff were lovely.
We honestly could not wait to leave. I do think they try their best and reading some more positive reviews perhaps its a matter of what youre used to as an individual. It reminded me of a cheap guest house we would stay at in Blackpool when I was a kid.
The photos dont do it justice- and thats not a compliment.
Beautifully situated in the Welsh hillsides with fantastic views and at the side of a waterfall this 230 year old coaching inn is modern in all requisites and is maintained in superb condition gaining 5/5 in hygiene standards. The hosts are welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home.
We arrived tired after a long day driving, to a warm and friendly welcome. Offered advice that helped us decide on our plans for that afternoon/evening and the next day. Room had the most amazing view. Breakfast was so good! Would recommend this place for sure
Stay was part of a multi stop trip visiting Wales.
Really couldn't fault any part.
Service was excellent - from check-in to dinner to breakfast.
We had dinner at the hotel, which was homemade + tasty. A small bar area as well as a scenic dinning area overlooking the valley.
Good WiFi and plenty of parking.
Room clean and good condition.
