A renovated farm with pool in a stunning and perfectly peaceful setting between the sea and Mount Etna, close to Acireale (3 km).

The house is located on the highest part of the estate, overlooking an infinite number of lemon trees, Mount Etna and the coast as far as Taormina (35 km). The garden is beautifully tended, with palm trees and Mediterranean flowers. The kitchen opens onto a covered terrace, perfect for al fresco dining.

Casale Acqua e Fuoco is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily, Mount Etna and its surroundings. It is just three kilometres from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Giardini Naxos, a seaside resort with beautiful sandy beaches distances 32 km.

Other things to note:
The price includes a set of linens and bath towels per person.
A car is necessary.

The private swimming pool measures 10 x 5 m. and it is 160 cm deep and is open from April to the end of October.

Rural and Rustic Acrieale

Tiziana and her husband were very helpful and came out quickly if there were any issues. It's a lovely villa, however not the biggest of spaces, kitchen is small, especially on a poor weather day. Wifi is poor. For a few days unfortunately there were issues with the pool. They were very apologetic and these things happen. Being near Mount Etna was great and the view is amazing. We climbed this, explored the local towns, visited Taormina which is beautiful and great for shopping. The property is remote and you do need a car. We have had a great holiday, enjoyed great company and ate and drank plenty. Although the property is a little tired and the bugs are a nightmare, it is a great location. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and if you don't mind a little bit of old fashioned rustic living then it's a great place to relax.

Great place to stay with friends and family

We were 2 families renting in Sicily and the house is perfect. Separate units meant lots of privacy. Pool is beautiful and view of Etna stunning. A very well equipped kitchen with a generous welcome food parcel. We had a couple of very small issues during our stay and Tiziana was impressively responsive and very clear she wanted us to be happy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend.

Great villa in a fantastic location

We visited with 7 adults and 3 children and was perfect for us. Tiziana was very communicative, friendly and helpful. The views of Etna were incredible, especially when it started to smoke! The kitchen had plenty of equipment so we could cook for ourselves every evening. Would happily return

Great views, brilliant pool and loads of bathrooms.

We enjoyed our stay here as it is in a lovely setting and has amazing views of Etna. The villa itself was fine for our party of 10. It was great having a bathroom for each room. Wifi works well but does not reach all rooms. The pool was excellent and had the sun all day. Stoney but lovely beaches and pretty coastal villages close by. I would highly recommend bringing the strongest bug spray available as the mosquitos are incessant.

A successful, enjoyable holiday with our extended family

A beautiful old villa, elevated, in the midst of lemon groves. Slightly hard to find as Sat Nav coordinates lead you to the villa by a back way which doesn’t exist. The owners’ directions were sound but it was just as well they phoned and found us at the unidentifiable gate to unlock it. The spacious well tended flat and safe garden with plenty of sun and shade and lawn made it ideal for our grandchildren (1 and 8). It was also large enough for those who want some quiet to hunker down with a book. Good size covered area in the shade to eat. The views were superb all around, to Etna and the sea. The BBQ was the best for cooking that we have had for many years but would benefit from a light. The pool is clean, of even depth and good for swimming more than a few strokes. The rooms are all clean, cool and private with air conditioning that works. We really appreciated the many provisions the owners left us on arrival, to include household goods as well as a good variety of foodstuffs and an excellent bottle of wine to tide us over until we could get to the supermarket. The friendly owners visited a couple of times to keep the pool clean, replace towels and linen etc and assured us that they could be contacted if ever we should need their further input, which we didn’t. All nine of us in the extended family had a wonderful holiday,

Rustic farmhouse villa with great views

We liked the villa, especially the huge pool and the views. It was well equipped and we liked the en suite bedrooms, although because the villa was mainly an old building, they were a bit dark. The only thing which would have been nice would be the provision of some form of cushions for the outside benches around the large dining table. We love sitting out day or night but the plain wood benches became uncomfortable after a short while. That apart, we liked the situation of the villa, it was a good base for sightseeing and Tiziana was very helpful. Mike Swann

Great holiday stay

The property is lovely, great views of Etna and the sea, a lot of room surrounded by green in an lemon grove. Pool and pool area are very nice. Nice, clean rooms. We had a wonderful stay and the owners were very nice and helpful. The only small negative are the mattresses which are hard and uncomfortable and could do with an update, then it would be the perfect place!

Beautiful setting and great house!

We have just returned from a week at this great place. We were eight people, three generations, and everyone loved the place. The views of Etna and the sea are just magnificent, and the location is wonderful for a relaxing time. We used the barbeque most nights and sat out enjoying our dinner in the great garden, where the children loved to play. We would be happy to return!

Amazing views of mountain and sea, Excellent facilities and lovely welcome.

We were 9 people ranging from 12 to 49 in age with plenty of space for all of us in a clean and well appointed house. We very much appreciated our own access to our rooms with our own bathrooms and the all important A/C. There was enough seating around the table and plenty of loungers around the pool. We had fun picking lemons and figs in the orchard just below the house, swimming in the pool, playing boules and watching the kids run around the garden. It was great to have the basics left at the house such as olive oil, herbs, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, washing powders, etc. especially as we were only there a week. There were plenty of pots, pans and kitchen utensils, the only thing we might suggest adding is an ice cream scoop. We made good use of the barbecue and the mosquito repellents that had been left. The views from the house are magnificent just waking up each morning seeing Mount Etna is breathtaking. We also had a great view most evenings of all the firework displays during the month of August in the direction of the mountains as well as the sea. The Wifi was reasonably good around the kitchen area and to the bedroom next to the kitchen but was hard to capture in the other bedrooms and around the pool. The house is difficult to find as it is not marked and we had not anticipated that it would be through one gate down a long entry road, through another gate and down to the house. However with Tiziana on the phone we reached our destination without too much difficulty. Sicilian traffic is unpredictable so decide which trips to take very carefully. I suggest not straying too far: A trip up Mount Etna, Siracusa, Taormina and as far as Caltagirone is definitely worth the time in the car but any further is stressful and tedious. An absolutely great location for families or a group vacation.

Incredible views, perfect pool, good location for exploring the east coast.

We were 10 friends staying for a week in Sicily, and the Casale was ideal for what we needed. The swimming pool is lovely, very big, and there are plenty of pool loungers, but could do with more than one umbrella to provide more shade in the hot Sicilian sun. The views of Mount Etna from the garden were truly beautiful, especially in the evening. We spent a lot of time cooking for 10 people at the house, and so one gripe was that the kitchen could have been better equipped (sharper knives, more chopping boards, blender, something to play music on, is needed) but the bedrooms (with AC and private access), the terrace with large outdoor dining table, and the pool and garden set amongst the lemon groves, were wonderful. The secluded location, once you've found the villa up the lemon groves, is great for excursions out and about. 30mins from the airport, 45mins from Taormina, and some beautiful coastal towns with incredible fresh fish restaurants only 10-15mins drive away (Capamulina and Aci Castello). All in all a really great place to stay, and we all want to say thank you for a lovely trip!

Perfect Oasis Nearby Everything

Both the property and owners were everything expected and more. Beautiful location on the slopes of Mt. Etna, in Acireale, minutes from Catania, roughly an hour from Siracusa and Taormina. It has four individual (separate lockable doors) suites with at least a queen size bed, some had an additional single, some had two additional singles; all had their own full bath and shower. One common kitchen/living room and swimming pool with BBQ grill. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve full meals. There are also tour books, maps and suggested restaurants/stores to be referenced. All on a gated property surrounded by lemon orchards. Very relaxing and peaceful. You will need a car, or at least bicycles to get around, but that's to be expected. I highly recommend this property, perfect for a family reunion or group vacation. Hope I can get back soon. Trevligt hus utan sällskapsrum

Ostört läge med stor trädgård strax utanför Acireale. Omgivet av citronlundar och med en härlig pool och utsikt mot Etna. Vi var 10 mat- och vinintresserade vuxna som hyrde. Köket var litet och inte så lättarbetat med litet kylskåp. Trevliga och hjälpsamma värdar.

Wir waren nur zu 5 Personen Frauen das Objekt war so aufgeteilt das jeder sein eigenes Zimmer mit Bad hatte und wir trafen uns dann immer in der Küche oder auf der Terrasse. Sehr schön gelegen mit vielen Zitronenbäumen und sehr abseits man hatte seine Ruhe außer von den Mücken und den Würmern (schnurfüßer ) aber auf dem Land wohl normal. Das Objekt ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen von innen uns fehlten die liebevollen Details vorallem die Badezimmer sind sehr alt und von Sauberkeit kann man da nicht sprechen. Auch die Küche war für uns nicht sauber alles sehr dunkel und lieblos. Wenn man das Objekt übergibt schaut man mal in den Kühlschrank und Gefrierfach denn dort waren offene Lebensmittel welche wir nicht verwenden wollten . Nun ja wir haben uns trotz allem eine schöne Zeit gemacht aber waren von der Sauberkeit des Hauses nicht begeistert .

Familienurlaub in Casale Acqua e Fuoco

Wir haben 5 Schlafräume benötigt. Das Objekt war für uns ideal, jeder Schlafraum mit eigenem Bad, sehr gepflegt und absolut sauber. Die Küche war reichlich bestückt mit Geschirr, Besteck und Gläsern. Es war sogar Verpflegung für den ersten Abend vorhanden. Das Grundstück und der Pool waren ebenfalls absolut gepflegt, Der Pool wurde während des Aufenthaltes gesäubert Aklle technischen Einricchtumngen haben funtioniert.
