We pretty much dropped my bags and went to the engagement party. Really wished i had gone in the bathroom prior. Was not cleaned. Prior person facewasher is still in the shower. Wet foot prints in the bathroom. I had called the reception after we left because they were around when we checked out. They really didn't seem suprised. And gave a fake ass apology only good thing the bed was comfortable.

The good: Location, friendly staff, clean towels and bedding, working A/C, parking, nice gardens, a pool. The bad: Intermittent hot water, the leaking fridge / smell from wet carpet, flies/bugs/ants. This place has great bones but it's dated and is in dire need of a complete reno. At $287 a night (1A, 2C) I expect hot water and a clean, odour free room.

Staff quite friendly. Room clean. Bed only a double. Plenty room for a qs bed. Accessible room and shower flooded a bit. Poor lighting in kitchenette but double brick walls was great for soundproofing. Hot water very hot

All staff were friendly , easy parking and check in. Would like to have been up there a bit longer to use some facilities and sample more of Hahndorf. I’ll be back.

We had arranged late check-in and received a code for the key safe at our door. The code was 5 digits but the key safe only required 4. We rang the after hours number and received a new 4-digit code that didn't work. A second code also didn't work. Thankfully after 4 phone calls and 45 minutes we finally got a working code and entry into our room. The Wifi password didn't work, making it difficult to book accommodation at further destinations. When we went to make a cup of tea, discovered housekeeping had forgotten to leave any milk in the fridge. The bedhead on the queen bed had large greasy marks where peoples heads had been resting on the bedhead. There were ants in the queen bed and a slug emerged from the wall in the second bedroom. And to make it perfect, there was no hot water in the morning for showers. We were grateful to find a room in a popular destination, but were disappointed considering the cost.
