A wide vally opens in El Risco (Agaete) down from the mountains of the Tamadaba Natural Park onto the sea with its natural beach. On the south oriented slope, above the village of El Risco, you can enjoy this lovingly restored traditional stone house.
We keept in mind modern technique: Internet, WiFi, Sat TV and a private pool with salt electrolysis system directly in front of the bedroom. On clear days you will see from the pool the island of Tenerife with the Teide mountain on the horizon. In new moon´s nights you will look up to a spectacular star-filled sky. The natural beach of El Risco is only a 5 minutes care ride and a little walk away. At low tide on calm days you will be surprised by wide sandbank and a shallow beach. Even in summer times a insider´s tip. Hiking and mountain routes are starting at the door. You really caught one of the seldom rainy winter days? Enjoy it: Amazing waterfalls may light up for a few hours on the mountainside. The thick natural stone walls and high ceilings provide a very pleasant indoor climate all year around. The west coast of Gran Canaria (La Aldea, El Risco) is one of the least by Covid-19 affected regions of the Canary Islands.

If I could give it more stars I would. My family and I had an amazing time at Casa Tamadaba! From the very first day until the last, we were so happy to be in this beautiful home and the surrounding area. From Agaete, you can go anywhere on the Island and everywhere is no longer that an hour and a half. This is the ideal place to stay for a memorable holiday. Thank you to Nora and Jurgen for sharing one of the most beautiful homes we have every been to, and for all the help and prompt attention to any little issue that arised during our stay. Thank you also to Julio, who was close by if needed. We hope to visit again and stay right here. Thank you for your hospitality.

Almost perfect

This well-maintained, simply-furnished cottage is not for people who like package holidays and need to be entertained - it’s for people who love nature and can make their own entertainment! It is more expensive than many hotels, but you are paying for the location, which is breathtaking! The cottage is the last property in the village, and the village is 20 minutes from a supermarket/restaurants - so it really is self-catering. We did eat out a couple of times - but we were there for a rest and some solitude - which is exactly what we got! I think it’s the first time I’ve gone on holiday and lost weight! Being honest, by the end of the week a couple of things were niggling - the entrance (or exit) to the cottage is not easy with cases or shopping bags, and the lack of comfortable seating, inside or out, was an issue for us. However, we were there for a proper holiday, and Casa Tamadaba gives you just that! For us it was a 4 star property, with 3 star furnishings in a 5 star location. Almost perfect.

Christmas peace and quiet

We booked at short notice for a last-minute holiday Christmas 2016. Jurgen was very responsive and provided almost instantaneous confirmation of our booking, followed up by useful information and directions. The villa is in a very rural location, wonderful clear skies at night and very quiet except for the local animals. The whole place is very well set out, fantastically clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped. We had a brilliant stay, thank you very much! Needless to say, a car is required if staying here. We used Autoreisen Top Car - very good.

A tranquil retreat

The villa was very calm and peaceful with stunning views into the valley from the outside space. We had a wonderful time. The drive from Agaete was along an extremely winding and narrow road, and the village itself is positively vertical! Therefore we decided to head to the shop just once in Agaete and saw no one else all week, which was extremely relaxing!

Ruhiges Idyll

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Das Ferienhaus ist herrlich abgeschieden und bietet mit seiner Lage genau die Privatsphäre, die wir uns gewünscht haben. Das Haus selbst ist ausreichend ausgestattet und hat uns nichts vermissen lassen.Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber verlief jederzeit reibungslos. Wir wurden auch während unseres Aufenthalts über alles Wichtige informiert. So wurde wir zum Beispiel auch über den Wechsel der Wäsche unter Nennung einer ungefähren Uhrzeit ausreichend vorher informiert.Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt und der Garten liebevoll gepflegt. Der zuständige Mitarbeiter trat dabei stets freundlich und diskret auf, sodass wir uns rundum wohlfühlen konnten.Ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen – wir können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Tolle Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, abseits von Touristentrubel.

Unser Aufenthalt war eine wahre Auszeit von all dem Alltagstrubel - Ferienhaus liegt in einer tollen Landschaft eingebettet fern von Party und Touristen und einem guten Startpunkt für viele Inselerkundungen. Das Ferienhaus selbst ist eine kleine Oase der Entspannung und der kleine Pool eine tolle "Zwischendurch-Erfrischung" Alles sehr gepflegt und in gutem Zustand! Hier hat es Spaß gemacht einfach mal nichts zu tun. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle auch an die Vermieter Jürgen & Nora - gute Kommunikation ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und wünschen nich einen schönen Sommer. Gaanz liebe Grüße Katja & Alex

Fantastisk hytte i naturskønne omgivelser

Det så godt ud på billederne men i virkeligheden oversteg det i den grad forventningerne. Huset ligger på toppen af El Risco. Der er udsigt til smukke bjerge i alle retninger. Vi slappede en del af i haven ved poolen men var også på mange ture på de nærliggende vandrestier. Vi havde vores datter på 9 måneder med og vi satte pris på den fine højstol, baby sengen og baby badekaret. Poolen er ikke opvarmet.

Schönes Ferienhaus, mit spektakulärem Ausblick

Das Ferienhaus liegt in einem ruhigen Bergdorf- hat einen Pool und Garten. Der Ausblick auf die Berge ist einfach umwerfend schön im Sonnenuntergang. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, high speed Internet. Zudem Küche mit Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine.Schlüsselübergabe war komplett problemlos.

Erholsamer kann ein Urlaub nicht sein

Die Finca ist wie beschrieben ... ein Traum. Die Anfahrt erst die Küstenstraße entlang und dann durch den Ort ist für Touristen durchaus, ob der schmalen Straßen, eine Herausforderung. Einchecken und Kontakt sind super unkompliziert. Die Finca ist mit allem ausgerüstet was man benötigt um erholsame Tage zu verbringen. Pool und Außenanlage wurden regelmäßig gereinigt und nach einer Woche Aufenthalt sogar das ganze Ferienhaus. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung auf Gran Canaria sucht, weit Abseits der Touristenströme, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Die "Wanderung" zum Charco d'Azul kann man sich fast sparen wenn es sehr trocken ist, dann ist vom schönen Teich leider nur ein winziger Tümpel übrig. Trotzdem ist die Gegend und die Aussicht gerade wegen ihrer "Schroffheit" sehr beeindruckend Die großen Tourihotspots, Maspalomas und Las Palmas, sind über die malerischen Küsten- und Bergstraßen in einer bis anderhalb Stunden gut zu erreichen. Vielen Dank nochmal extra an Julio. Gracias por todo. Tuvimos unas excelentes vacaciones.

Raus aus dem Alltag

Wenn man ein Haus weg vom Massentourismus sucht, ist man hier genau richtig! Das Haus hatte alles was man braucht, die Küche war super eingerichtet, der Pool und die Landschaft ein Traum! Die Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir wären am liebsten noch eine weitere Woche geblieben ! Wir können Haus & Vermieter wärmsten empfehlen! Wenn man Vodafone hat, ist leider kein Telefonnetz auf der Ebene des Hauses, uns hatte es jedoch nicht Gestört - da man mit dem WLAN zumindestens Internet hatte. Die Anreise ist traumhaft schön durch die Berge, aber mit Vorsicht zu genießen - die Straßen sind nicht die breitesten. Danke für die schöne Zeit ♥️
