The property is fine. The only downside was that the room was not clean well. I saw some empty snack plastics next to my bed. Also, the day after, one of the staff put some furnitures in my room which is really annoying and insulting as a customer. They didn’t even clean up my room which for me was concerning too. They moved some extra chair and side table and dump it to my room. Making it more less spacious and insulting for me.

Upon arrival it was discovered that the sheets were soiled and the beds unable to be used. Rooms were not serviced daily. We were not informed that daily requests must be made for room service.

In for a 3-day stay for local graduation. Clocktower stay was quiet and convenient; starting off with super receptionist who placed our party’s two rooms side by side and then offered us cookies. Great stay!

Needs substantial work

As someone in the operations and hospitality industry, I can confidently say this hotel suffers from deep operational failures that no amount of cosmetic renovation can hide. From the start, basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness were not met. The hotel consistently smelled of mildew, smoke, and general neglect—excluding the lobby. Clean air is a basic guest expectation and was totally absent. Despite NY laws, smoking of any kind is forbidden indoors, and staff did nothing to enforce this. Housekeeping left trash and food outside rooms for hours, creating sanitation issues and attracting pests. Quiet hours were completely ignored—large groups were shouting, slamming doors, and room-hopping late into the night with no intervention, despite calls to the front desk. Staff appeared either too inexperienced or unwilling to address these disturbances. The laundry area had damp, smelly clothing left untouched for our entire 4-day stay. It’s clear money went into surface-level updates—some trendy furniture and lighting—but the operation runs like a low-budget motel. We even cleaned our room and stripped the bedding to help housekeeping, but respect should go both ways. I hope management takes this seriously, because if this is the direction of their rebrand, I don’t see it lasting.

Every staff interaction was excellent... check-in (let me check in at 2:25 as that fit my busy weekend), 4am check-out (had just made a fresh pot of excellent coffee that I enjoyed while waiting for my ride to the airport) and the high energy, positive, cheery woman running around doing all sorts of work at the breakfast service.

The room needs; hooks to hang items, overhead lighting, and another countertop. The pool was not as warm as we had hoped so swimming was not enjoyable for the adults and the shower in the pool area did not get warm. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The free breakfast is one of the best I’ve seen. Staff go above and beyond the average level of friendliness and helpfulness. The room was perfect. The bathroom was very clean. Only thing lacking was a good fan. Wonderful water pressure and temp in the shower. I felt safe and taken care of here. Especially as a woman traveling alone.
