The room has beds that are easy to use - I appreciated not having to use a ladder! The shower has a hand-held in addition to the rain shower. Great tea! No microwave.

Room was dirty, toilet was leaking, homeless people outside the hotel causing problems and cops showed up multiple times while we stayed there, room key did not work multiped times, changed rooms, got charged an extra fee for "good vibes and art" around the hotel, asked for refund on this and they said no, no compensation for any of the issues we were having.. No shuttle service from airport. Front desk was not knowledgeable multiple interactions with different staff, and everyone was on a different page and gave wrong information. I will never go back, it was awful.

This is a unique little motel.. not hotel like claimed. It is charming at first sight but don’t be fooled. This place is nothing but a scam! We stayed one night while oaaaing through. We literally checked in, slept, then checked out. We had two rooms with a $150 hold on our card for each room for incidentals . One of the holds released a few days later but a new charge for $300 occurred. The desk clerk informed us that it was due to a damaged door. We did notice a hole in the bathroom door the night we stayed but seeing that this is an old remodeled motel we didn’t think much of it. Well they claim that we caused the damage in which we did not! The clerk was extremely rude and refused to give us a contact to someone higher such as the owner. Upon investigating, I found a number from a review very similar to our experience( there are quite a few by the way). I left a message in voicemail and received a text right away claiming that since I left a threat I would have to take matters up with the legal team( all I did was leave a voicemail asking the owner to call me back so we could discuss the matter before I disputed it with my bank and left a negative review). When I received the text I then called the number back in which I was told that I would need to contact Their legal team. I asked how to reach the legal team and they hung up on me. They obviously scam people out of money by doing this frequently.. and I will continue to make the public aware!

Plan to pay $12/night for parking + a $10/night hidden fee to avoid paying tourism taxes? Beyond that, a very comfortable stay! Please be more transparent with your charges

We drove in from CA 20 hours, when we showed up it was just after 2:00 in the morning. They called our reservation a no show and left us out in the cold. They also did not refund the money nor did hotels. Com. They made no effort to accommodate us and my family and I had to sleep in the truck in the cold!

My spouse and I loved the concept of the revamped motel into a type of boutique hotel, and overall we think they were successful in pulling this off. But the competence to envision a hotel cast anew is completely different from running a hotel day to day, and unfortunately, this is where Hotel Zazz falls on its face. When we arrived we had a dirty coffee machine flashing descale. The staff arrived with a replacement which also turned out needed to be descaled as well, so we never ended up with coffee or tea the first night. The next morning we discovered that the room was filthy in that it hadn't been dusted in months. We called the reception and reported it and they said they would clean up the place that day. When we returned in the evening, the normal linen service had been done, but not the dusting. We had a replacement coffee machine that now worked, but it was sitting inside a serving tray that was covered in hard mineral deposits and was quite unsightly. We called again and the person said they would personally handle the problem the next day. When we arrived back for our third night, we ended up talking to the manager on the phone who was not very responsive and our room was still quite filthy. On the fourth night, and the room still not dusted and properly cleaned, we were given vouchers for one glass of wine white in their lounge as if this fixed the problem. We stayed a total of 7 nights and the room was never cleaned. Service by multiple people failed.
The tray on which the coffee machine sat was covered in lime scale and was dusty to boot.
The nightstands were dusty as well.
Behind the TV console was a year or more of dusty. So easy to vacuum in 15-30 seconds every 2 weeks.
All the baseboards were covered with dust as well as the top of the headboard on the bed.
