Great place for a large family gathering

Loved the quirkiness of this house and the grandchildren spent hours playing hide and seek as there were lots of places to hide! Provides good facilities for our large family of 14. The hot tub is great but as it says in the instructions it takes at least 5 hours to get to temp and needs a lot of wood which is provided, worth the effort though.

Comfortable warm house

House was warm, clean and comfortable, Kitchen was reasonably equipped, lovely cake provided. Location was good, close to Alcester, lots of local walks although we didnā€™t walk across the fields as too wet. There were 10 of us and plenty of room but might be a bit of a squeeze around the table with too many more. No instructions about recycling.

Great New Year Family Stay

A beautiful, warm spacious house with gorgeous views. All bedrooms were comfortable and tastefully furnished. Bedding and towels to a standard one would hope for. Absolutely perfect for our family of 11 plus the dog. Kitchen well stocked, although in need of new chopping boards. 2 dishwashers were a great advantage. Hot tub fun despite having to cut down a forest to heat it! All was super, although we had to oven juggle, when catering as the large Belling oven wasnā€™t working!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful setting

We stayed at the Hunting Lodge for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's 40th. The house is beautiful, in a gorgeous setting with lots of lovely walks on your doorstep. The house is well maintained, with all mod-cons whilst still maintaining its character and charm. All our guests noted they slept well and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Alison, the housekeeper, was very attentive, sending a welcome email the night before our arrival and was on hand for any last minute queries we had. The only concerns future guests should note is 1) the walls are exceptionally thin, with little to no sound-proofing. As such, children were kept awake upstairs simply by adults having normal volume conversations downstairs, and 2) the house is located immediately next door to what appears to be a small industrial setting, which was empty during our stay but once filled again I could imagine would impede on the feeling of privacy.

The perfect family escape!

The most amazing building, full of history and character. Very well equipped, amazing views from every window. Lovely walks from the front door, great hosts making sure you are OK. We had a Tesco delivery (add the W3Ws reference to your order) which was great. Lovely spaces within the house, to be together as a group or have some time on your own. Don't miss out on the hot tub, it was amazing! Thank you so much for having us, hopefully we will be back one day!!

Perfect hen weekend!

Absolutely gorgeous house which was perfect for a hen party. Beautiful decor and location - blown away just from the driveway! Incredibly spacious and great to be able to request the single beds too. Want to go back and stay for a week!

A pleasant stay with all you need

Overall a nice period property with many features and character. For getting family together or a large group it has everything you need. We felt that the property would benefit from improved signage for the road and whist it had everything we needed some could do either updating or improving to bring it up to the next level. Property was very clean throughout and with nice welcoming touches. It offers value for what is provided.

An amazing house in beautiful setting.

We all loved the Lodge, it exceeded expectations, inside and out. Beautiful view from the garden, hot tub was a bonus. Beds were comfy, decor was spot on. Only 15 mins from Evesham Station so we could pick up family from London. Really enjoyed the 3 mile, mainly cross country walk to the Arrow Mill. The only thing we'd add (cook's request!) would be a hand whisk, scales, and food processor - and maybe a measuring jug for cocktails! All 16 of us had a fabulous time, and have already rebooked for next year. Thanks so much for renting out such a gem!

Family stay at The Hunting Lodge

A beautiful and secluded property with multiple cosy communal rooms inside and lots of outdoor space. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable and lots of wood was provided for us to be able to enjoy fires in the evenings. Lots of useful information was accessible online and texted to us in advance of our stay. One point to note is that the hot tub is wood fired and takes a bit of planning to heat up - I hadn't spotted this in the booking information but the effort was worthwhile as the younger members of our group enjoyed using it.

A very beautiful house and environment.

We had a three generational holiday and everything was perfect. The house is beautiful and all the furniture and fittings are of very high quality. The surrounding grounds are wonderful for walking and the dogs were living their best lives. So were we!

An excellent family weekend to celebrate an 80th birthday. Lovely comfy beds. Good to have two dishwashers. Tumble drier not terribly efficient so a clothes maiden would have been helpful. Overall, a lovely stay.

Beware

A lovely property- problems occurred which were massively inconvenient including my elderly mother . There were 11 adults staying in all. One bedroom is only accessible through another. The temperature control of the main bathroom shower was dangerous- very very hot or not hot enough. The hand basin too high for a child. We were given the wrong key safe code and unable to get in meaning my mum was unable to eat or use the toilet and was cold outside. Also given incorrect WiFi login information and only rectified by one of us ages later. Very unsatisfactory and an unpleasant day 1 which was spoilt.

Beautiful house, Great location

The House was beautiful, excellent for our family weekend away. Big table for dining and comfortable lounge area. Great kitchen everything you need, nice welcome Cake which was lovely. Fab location near Stratford so ideal for sightseeing and for the Cotswolds. It was hard to locate the house when we arrived as there is no sign on the main road and it is tucked away. Wifi is sketchy but this was not important to us. The hot tub does take a long time to heat up if you want to use it start early. Overall a great stay.

Relaxing stay in stunning surroundings

Our family ranging, from eleven to 75 years old, had a fabulous few days here. The house is beautifully presented and comfortable, especially the beds. We had three dogs and six kids under fifteen and they all enjoyed the superb garden. The eco hot tub took a little work to get hot, but was so worth it. The surrounding area is very pretty, and the local town Alcester, has many independent shops, and a small Waitrose. Weā€™d definitely like to visit the Hunting Lodge again.

Amazing house!

I took a group of golfers to this property for 3 nights. What an amazing house... it suited us because most of the beds can be split into twins. Talking of beds, incredibly comfy and super bedding! Plenty of bathrooms with super fluffy towels. The kitchen was well equipped {although the chocolate cake in the welcome pack did not last very long!} and having two lounges was fab. Oodles of parking too! I could not recommend it highly enough!

Perfect for our large family get together

This is a lovely property with plenty of room for our 14 members of family. Very well equipped and the beds were super comfy. It was also very clean. Lovely wine and cake on arrival which was very well received! The location is stunning especially the views from the fabulous garden. I would say that overall it needs some TLC , some of the floors are very uneven and we had to take care on the stairs going through to games room which also leads to one of the downstairs bedrooms. We originally planned on putting our elderly parents in this bedroom but couldnā€™t risk them falling so they ended up in an upstairs bedroom. Also my sister and brother in law kept banging their head on the ceiling in their en-suite so could do with a warning sign in there. None of these stopped us having a wonderful family weekend together. I would definetly recommend this house for a large group!

Special family occasion

15 of us converged onto this lovely old house which was equipped to a very high standard which was essential for such a large self catering group. We had some fun with hot tub which appealed to the pyromaniacs amongst us. Brilliant help and support from Alison.
