We had an enjoyable stay and found the apartment to be exceptionally clean. The balcony could benefit from a few touches to make it feel more inviting, and we noticed the absence of some basic essentials such as paper towels and dishwasher pods. Fortunately, nearby stores made it easy to pick up what we needed. Most of the destinations we visited were conveniently located within 10 to 15 minutes by car, depending on traffic.During our stay, there were a few unexpected issues within the complex: a six-hour water shutoff on one day, a three-hour fire alarm disruption on another, and at one point, only one of the elevators was functioning in the 16-story building. Additionally, when returning the keys to the lockboxâwhich is located in a densely landscaped areaâI was bitten by insects, as it was dark at the time of departure. We appreciated the dedicated parking space, although it is a short walk from the building and a bit farther to reach the elevators.
We enjoyed our time in Alexandria. We spent most of our time exploring the sites in DC. This was a great location, just a short drive to everything we wanted to see in DC. The covered parking garage was very convenient, as well as the nearby grocery store. The apartment had everything we needed. We were not able to take advantage of the pool because our days were spent out and about. Any questions we had were quickly responded to.
This was a great space to stay. Enjoyed the balcony, plenty of space, nice amenities in the space. A few random things needed attention, like the hand towel rack infalling off the wall. But i get a short term rental will have these things and sometimes a chaos gremlin stays in the place. Overall, wonderful place. Good location.
The condo was very comfortable and met our needs perfectly. Two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Garage was convenient. Fyi ... the 6th tree lockbox location is near the garage.
This was just right for our trip to DC. Had a problem with check in because there was no key. They sent a key but it took a while. The place was a little dated but was clean and centrally located.
The apartment was VERY clean and comfortable. There are extra blankets in the closets and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers. This is a 2 level apartment with the bedrooms upstairs, which was great because we could spread out throughout the apartment. It's very spacious, and having 2 1/2 bathrooms is such a luxury when getting ready in the mornings. It's located close to the expressway and very easy to Uber into the city or drive yourself. It takes about 15 - 30 minutes to get into the city depending on traffic. We really enjoyed having the reserved parking space in the garage. It really took the stress out of finding a place to park. Detailed check-in instructructions were sent a few days before arrival. It was a very interesting check-in, but we had no issues finding what we needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
1. Bedrooms are upstairs. You can access the upstairs by taking the elevator to the next floor. However, we didnât realize bedrooms were upstairs and it was difficult for my sister that canât do stairs. I thought it would have been helpful to know ahead of time and we would have chosen another place.2. Location of entry key in tree with a wire fence unacceptable as far as we were concerned. Donât try to access in the dark.3. Upstairs hall should be emptied of furniture and dorm size refrigerator as it was hazardous.
A friend and I were in town for a conference and the place was perfect. Obtaining the keys was an interesting but fun process. It was like a treasure hunt. Plenty of towels, comfy beds, coffee, great area. Thank you for a great stay!
The apartment was clean and the bed in the master BR was comfortable. It was nice to have two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the first floor. We would have liked to be aware of the walking needed to get from the parking space in the garage to the apartment, it was much more than expected. We also recommend arriving during daylight hours in order to more easily retrieve the needed check in items. The heating system seemed to be in need of service but the property manager said he'd be taking care of that since we told him about it when we left.
This apartment was ideal for our family of two grandparents, two parents and a young boy. Our grandsonâs bed was even decorated for a kid and had its own childrenâs book section. The full kitchen had everything we needed. Great location too!
Check in went smooth. The lock box took a minute to find. Checking out and putting the keys back in the lock box took two of us. We left at 6 am to go to work and had to put keys in lock box outside by the tree. It was so dark we used our flashlights. But the shiny metal from the dials made it impossible to read the numbers. We used mine as a flashlight and coworker used his camera.
Really liked the location. All of the sites we saw were less than a 30 minute drive including downtown DC. The apartment was clean and bright. Grocery store and plenty of restaurants nearby. Had some questions regarding the check-in process and the responses were very quick and helpful. The garage parking was really appreciated. I would stay here again.
The property was as described. Convenient location to shopping and Van Dorn metro station. Kitchen fully stocked. We couldn't figure out how to work the thermostats to turn the heat on when a cold front came through, but we managed.
Overall had a great stay at this property. Was nice to have reserved parking spot in a covered garage. Kids loved the large pool with an 8.5â deep end. Convenient location to downtown DC or pretty much anything in the NOVA area. Didnât realize when booking that the property is two floors, but I realize that I overlooked the stairs in one of the photos. That was a plus for us because adults could stay awake downstairs without worrying about disturbing sleeping kids upstairs.
I used this as a stopping point on a larger road trip. The check in process seemed difficult until i read the actual instructions fully. It was a fairly large condo with a thing or 2 that may require to be fixed but definitely will be staying here again if my travels ever take me back. Very nice place overall.
My husband, toddler, and I enjoyed our stay and felt like we had lots of space. Wish there would have been a pack and play for our baby to sleep in but it was not the end of the world. Easy access to the garage from the condo building and pretty quiet.
This property exceeded our expectations. We like to stay in Northern VA when we visit DC. Not only is it a beautiful condo that easily sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids, but is located in an area that has endless choices for dining that will satisfy any appetite. The property is close to the Van Dorn Metro station, making transit to the city easy. Having garage parking was a great bonus that made us feel secure leaving our car unattended. The host is quick to respond to any needs and the neighbors in the building were all friendly. Would definitely book this property again.
