I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Funicolare. Beautiful view from the hotel and a lovely overall experience. Special mention and thank you to Luana working at reception, she is very professional, kind and was attentive throughout the stay. Her customer service was excellent and she genuinely made guests feel welcome and looked after. The road is not easy if you’re coming from the Swiss side. It’s much easier to come through the Italian side.

It's really an experience to visit this hotel. Rooms and breakfast is as can be expected for the price range but the view from the balconies makes up for everything! would highly recommend to make a stop here - I will again in the future.

Charming hotel which has it's quirks but that's all part of the experience with fantastic staff who made us feel very welcome and satisfied. The view was fabulous and the food was terrific and the staff were brilliant. The road up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted (Strada da Valmara) so take their advice on how to reach the property if you are not very confident with mountain roads.

We had an amazing 6-day stay at Hotel Funicolare. The family suite provided to us was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is excellent — just a short drive to both Lake Como and Lugano. The views from our rooms were absolutely breathtaking. The staff was friendly, courteous, and always helpful. We also enjoyed the good breakfast each morning. We look forward to returning to this hotel in the near future. Sharing a photo of the beautiful view from each room!
