El Cerco del Trigo is a cozy adobe house with jarilla roofs and carob wood details, made with local materials. It has everything you need to feel comfortable, while keeping the traditional style of the valley. The name comes from an old wheat field that used to be here.
It’s right next to the Amaicha River and just 6 blocks from the main square. You’ll find it at the end of Pasaje Balderrama, by the river. Even though it’s close to town, it’s very quiet and peaceful. As people here say: “Silence wakes you up.”
The house is managed by locals who’ve lived in Amaicha for over 30 years and work closely with the Indigenous Community on rural development projects. They know the area well and are happy to help with anything you need.
