The location was off the beaten path but that was a plus for me. The hotel and room itself were fine. The staff was unprofessional and rude. Breakfast was not included and most of the time the breakfast area was flooded with bus loads of tourist and even though I paid 16 euros for breakfast I couldn’t reach the breakfast trays. One morning , the staff couldn’t even be bothered to put breakfast out. My room was rarely cleaned even if I put the sign out. And there was a weird smell coming from the shower/tub room. I had to buy air freshener to hide the smell. Also, I should have read the small print, my booking was non-refundable. So, even though I left a week early I couldn’t get my money back. So, overall one of the worst stays I’ve had in Amsterdam. I won’t be going back to a Best Western anytime soon.
