Property grounds were beautiful and plenty of restaurants to choose from. However, our room had HVAC problems and staff did not seem to concerned to repair it or move us to a different room. Thank goodness we were only here one night. Expected more from a hotel that charged $800 a night

Beautiful property.. Great staff!! Everyone was very helpful and nice. Food and drinks were priced fairly.. which is more than can be said about the room rate! Crazy that locals get a price break and they make the non residents bend over ! Sure would like to understand that logic. The tram to 7 glaciers is a must if you stay there !

Wonderfully beautiful place to stay. We have stayed there many times. On the pricey side but well worth it. My overall rating would have been higher but after spending the day before in the hospital and arriving very late in the evening the morning staff could not find it within their limits to allow a noon checkout instead of 11am. Seriously Alyeska, a good way to leave a sour taste on an otherwise wonderful stay.

This resort has an extremely unique experience, offering great views wrapped with amenities that are aimed to relax and pamper the guests. The staff and services are extremely professional and helpful. The surrounding grounds have trails and backdrops of snow covered mountains, and the town of Girdwood is extremely desirable with many food options with an inviting culture.

I stayed in a deluxe King room for 5 nights during a conference held at the resort. This is not the sort of accommodation I would normally choose if not for it being the conference venue. The setting is beautiful with lots of hiking trails taking over from the ski runs during the summer months. The resort was large with many carbon copy rooms, reminiscent of a cruise ship dropped at the base of a mountain. The staff were all courteous, efficient and helpful with directions and advice on activities. Bottled water was provided in my room, this was not necessary as the tap water is the best I have ever tasted in over 100 countries visited. The bathroom products were provided in small plastic bottles when refillable dispensers are preferred for earth friendly purposes. The dining options are not particularly suited to a solo traveller and menus were also limited for my nutritional requirements. There is a small village which has a grocery store and a handful of eateries, and some more take away options at the intersection with the main road for those not keen on resort dining or resort prices. These are all within walking distance along an easy to follow path for those with time and energy, otherwise there is a loop bus service operating approximately hourly. For those who do not hire a vehicle, transport options from the airport that I used were the Girdwood Express and the Red Eye, both were very good but the latter only runs twice a day.

Not a hotel . . Disappointed

From the first second we walked into the basic check-in area that has no toilets nor is a proper hotel lobby , to the morning we left, we felt we had made a huge mistake to book this place . The lady who checked us in spoke pigeon English & was not helpful at all about info related to the place . She must have skipped charm school ¬ attended customer service lessons . The room was adequate in size. Plastic chairs on the balcony. No fridge , no microwave & no amenities at the check in office other than a shop and 2 food trucks . This place is Not a hotel . Camp ground with a few rooms .we Were told to cross the road if we needed to use the restrooms. Cross the highway and go to the lodge across the road ? Really ? I would recommend that place , Denali village. We paid a high price for a dated place with no amenities at all . ½ h free internet did not work . Extra 7$/h for internet. Too many People seem to want to visit Denali which is making it extortionate and not value for money . This place did not have happy staff at front desk nor offer anything much . So un-American . We had breakfast at the Denali village which was better than nothing. We paid almost $1500/4 n. Such a shame we had paid in advance . There are other places that are much better for that kind of money . Motel standards are better
