Big price, for not much

The room was large, but the furniture was very old and worn. The bed was just okay, the towels were average. The bathroom was just disappointing, there was no lid on the toilet seat with was pretty disgusting. The shower was hard to navigate without burning yourself. The shower wall had old adhesive patches on them where bottles had been placed on one side and opposite, there were 2 empty collapsed containers where the shampoo etc should have been. The bedside lamp did not work. The ground floor room was noisy, we woke up to shouting from a homeless person outside at 4 am. The breakfast was sub par. The cooked food was tasteless and the other alternatives were not very appealing. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. When we told them about the lamp, they immediately got on the radio to get it fixed. You pay a high price for location. It was an average room… but please people .. you could at least put a toilet seat on!

Anchorage Stay

Hotel was ok. Older and needed a face lift. Bathroom needed repainted, it looked like it had previously been wallpapered and they didn’t remove all of the glue which left a rough texture in places. A second coat of paint would have done wonders. Breakfast did not look appealing as the bacon was burnt.

The hotel is in the good location for someone who likes to walk and get around. The reception area is nice and friendly when you can leave the luggage at the front desk for early check-in or after check out. The coffee and tea station and the breakfast are also a nice plus.

We stayed here because it was close to the train station. The young man that checked us in set us up for a cab to pick us up the next morning at 6am. It made it very convenient.

The place was okay. It was clean. The bedroom part of the room was small; I think a queen bed rather than a king would have improved it. Also, I would have preferred a place with a full time restaurant or coffee shop.
