Puffin Inn is OK for a quick stay

Puffin Inn had a shuttle from the airport which was nice. Check in process was efficient. The facility is pretty old. Our room is small but everything seems clean. We arrived middle of the night and leaving before lunch so not spending much time at the hotel or area to comment on proximity to activities.

The front desk employees need some work. Check in lady was irritated and cranky. Didn’t set our key card for the whole stay so it deactivated the next day while out. Same for the 2nd day after we re-activated it the day prior. The supervisor was always smiling and extremely helpful. The heating unit in our room didn’t work for heat or air and it was super stuffy the entire stay. Comp breakfast was what you would expect. Lobby is beautiful and well setup. Would stay there again.

This hotel had it's own identity and it took pride in its guests. The breakfast selection, in my opinion is this hotel's weakest link. Budget concerns are always a fair argument but a place doesn't need 50 different flavors of one thing just to have a little variety

The first room assigned had a broken window hinge that made the window stand wide open. Also the smoke detector was on the table. The check clerk said shewould get a maintenance person to come and fix it. It was 1015pm and we were getting a flight out at 6:00 am After talking to the clerk she FINALLY gave us a different room At 1:30 am a person was trying to get in our room I called the front desk and that was handled Not very rest full night. Alarm went off at 3:15am to get a 4:00am ride to the airport

Nothing overly fancy, (which isn’t bad) but close to the airport with an airport shuttle & many local tours pick you up from here which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

Normally it is good this time they changed my room to an out side annex a half block down the road which I had to walk to. Then on third floor no elevator , key did not work had to walk back for new key then once in tv now work and room not the cleanest not bad but not great or good just okay
