AVOID this hotel. Advertised as 3.5 star. It is ~1.5 star. Due to the false 3.5 star rating, I'll avoid Wyndham properties in the future. Pros: The staff was great; friendly, helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. Location close to downtown and the airport. During my December stay, the fireplace in the lobby provided a pleasant place to relax. Cons: I wanted a clean, quiet room and a good sleep. Got none of that. Long travel, ready to crash - but the room assigned hadn't been cleaned. Back to check-in. Next room had loose tiles in the center of the bathroom floor, the tub faucet was leaking ~2.5 gallons/hour, the desk lamp was out, and the bathroom door was frayed at the bottom. Rather than move again, I stayed put. At midnight, I was awakened by my neighbor throwing something against the wall. I knocked loudly on the wall, annoyance stopped - until 2:30 am. I dressed, went to the lobby to get security to deal with it. Next day, moved to another room, which was 90F (or warmer) when I walked in. Thermostat would not shut off the heat, so back to the desk to ask for maintenance. Wifi signal was not accessible in any of the rooms I was assigned, only in the lobby. The hotel is hosting long-term refugees from local flooding. While I'm sympathetic to their plight, they were noisy, running up and down the halls at late hours, knocking on my door and others.

The staff of Housekeeping needs to communicate with the one working in the front desk they need to know is the guest are there for extensions before they knock the door so Hard so they dont have to bother the guest

Staff were great. Room lacking - no solid curtains to block light. In Alaska even winter nights can be bright. It was snowing a lot outside. Snow reflects light with parking lot lights. Hard to sleep. In the summer, with increased daylight - I would never stay there. Window covering - semi opaque sheers with tiny solid curtains as side accent, unable to move and could never cover the window.

We often stay at Wyndham hotels always been very nice! This was a last minute booking and the worst ever hotel! We flew in late to go home. Arrived about 2 am. We were very tired after several flight delays so we went straight to the room and fell asleep. Upon waking up we discovered mold and mildew on the walls and that the room was not very clean to say the least. We would of left as soon as we woke up but our friends were on the way to pick us up at specific time. I went down and asked for the manager and showed her photos. She seemed nice and apologized but only took notes and said someone would be in touch. I would like a refund! we don't mind older places BUT a place should be clean and not mildew 1/4 way up the walls & around the air conditioner. We were on the bottom floor , after opening the curtain the window was not locked and you could see marks on the outside where is looked like it was slid open at some point. It was not a pleasant site. Spreading mildew was also all way around the air conditioner. There were 2 beds , the 2 second bed had several stains on top of it. We didn't pull back the covers because I had already seen enough, i didn't want that possible vision also. Water stains on the ceiling, bathroom floor needed a mopping, and carpet needed a better vacuum, left over hair on the tub drain.. I don't think the maids did a good job and I think this room and possibly others should not be rented out until it gets an updated inspection cleaning

The microwave in our room was broken and the front desk said they’d replace it but never did. Some of the AK misplaced refugees are there so if you plan to use the pool, it may be a lil crowded, not that I cared about the pool though, just a lil noisy. The fire alarm went off around 9pm, for over 2-3 min due to a low battery and then went off again several more times for a few seconds. Loud & annoying. Room had a funny smell when we checked in, and parking gets bad if you don’t park early. There is ample parking way in the back lot but I would not trust leaving our vehicle that far away, not in that Spenard area. Otherwise the staff at desk were nice and the breakfast was okay.

The room was clearly not cleaned. There were toe nails on the floor and other debris on the floor all over. A booger on the bedsheet. We asked to be moved to a clean room. The second room had old skittles on the floor and dark hairs all over the bed. Again - obviously was not cleaned. We decided to stay somewhere else. Will be requesting a refund tomorrow as the front desk attendant said she could not cancel the stay or refund me.

The staff was really friendly, they just couldn't keep up with the hotel being used as an evacuee lodging. Not enough towels, one vacuum cleaner, no room cleaning when requested 2 days in a row. The accessible room is not accessible. Bathroom had room but hallway into bathroom was same size as normal room making hard to get into bathroom with wheelchair. And then you add a mirror right outside the bathroom door. There is no for the handicapp person to reach any of the soaps and shampoo. They weren't accessible level. Teh showerhead was place at normal height so no reaching that either while the seat is why in the back and the water didn't reach.

It was a filthy room!! Trash left on the floor, dirty rag under the bed, sharp object like a screw on the floor, all the sheets and pillow cases were inside out. The room smelled bad, the ice bucket was dirty and did have a plastic liner to go in it. Had to get a new room. The front desk person didnt seem to care, or even care we were there. During check out time next day a worker was mopping the very busy lobby area and front entrance doors, but only pushing dirt and rocks with the mop around the floor, it was slippery!! The hallways carpet look very dirty and definitely need a shampoo. The reason we never ate the breakfast we were scared it wasn't prepared sanitary, worried it was like the how the hotel is like. The granddaughters were going to use the pool but thought it best to stay away from it, it too was probably filthy, but didn't check. Will never ever stay there again!!

Did not use airport shuttle Front desk staff was very kind. Tonight use Laundry Room Rooms need to be updated a little more cleaner had a curtain that had blood on it in the bathroom my sheet had a stain from overall room was comfortable
