This is a beautiful old historic hotel in the heart of Annapolis. It is the perfect central location if doing work with the MD General Assembly - adjacent to the Statehouse and just a block from legislator offices. You are also within a couple blocks of Main Street which full of small bars, restaurants, and businesses near the water, and just a little bit farther from the commercial district on the west side of town. I’ve used this hotel for years and staff is always friendly and professional and rooms are cleaned daily. They also have concierge parking services right out front of hotel (as there is no hotel parking lot except underground). Their event space downstairs is very nice and busy multiple times of day during the legislative session.

THis is the second time in a row staying here bith times they placed my room on the court yard while I had to listen to loud music form a wedding being heald to late in the evening. AAlso both times our room was not cleaned with new towls etc. When I noticed after 5:00 PM the hotel just asid sorry nothing we can do as house keeping has left for the day. zfurther more there is lack of hot water and the bathrooms are completely outdsted. I will never stay here again and even you you pais me to stay here I would pass

The room was in good condition, and the staff was responsive and efficient. We appreciated the welcome text message. We discovered that one of our card keys didn't work. We were able to text the staff who quickly sent a replacement to us. There were several things about the property that we found disappointing. While we appreciate the age of the building, our room was very "drafty" and poorly insulated. You could hardly stand on the bathroom floor it was so cold. There was a heater (steam?) outside our room that sounded like someone banging pots and pans when it turned off. I ultimately resorted to earplugs. That didn't make for very restful nights. Finally, the elevator was inoperable on Sunday (our day to checkout). There was a sign saying it was out of order for "routine maintenance". That caused us to have to drag out luggage down 4 flights of stairs. I'm guessing Sundays are one of the biggest days for checkout, and I'm not sure why routine elevator maintenance would be scheduled during that time.

Due to the history and age of this beautiful bldg, we expected relatively dated rooms. Much to our surprise, the room was clean, spacious and modern. This is one of the most pleasurable experiences I ever have had not only in Annapolis, but anywhere.

The hotel did not have any water, thus could not go to the bathroom, shower, etc. While I understand this situation was out of their control, they didn’t even offer guests any options or seem to care of this enormous inconvenience.
