Completely renovated in 2026, the Gîtes du Mouton d'Amédée elegantly blend the charm of traditional Bugey houses with modern comforts. Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Indrieux, in the commune of Arandas, in the heart of the Bugey region, these two adjoining cottages can accommodate up to 12 people. An ideal location for a family or friends' getaway in a calm, authentic, and unspoiled setting. Upon arrival, two separate entrances allow you to explore the property at your own pace. The Gîte au Mouton opens onto a spacious living area designed to bring everyone together for warm and convivial moments on the ground floor. Outside, the large, elevated terrace offers panoramic views of the village and the rolling landscapes of the Bugey, a perfect setting for sharing a meal, relaxing, or simply admiring the sunset. Inside, every space was completely redesigned during the renovation to offer optimal comfort while preserving the building's character. Exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and fully equipped contemporary kitchens create a warm and bright atmosphere. In the Gîte du Mouton, the carefully preserved old cider press bears witness to the house's agricultural past, while the kitchen backsplashes featuring images of the farm's cows recall the close connection to the family farm, where Emily notably makes the famous Ramequin du Bugey. Both accommodations are spread over several levels, typical of old village houses, and offer five bedrooms furnished with single beds (90 x 200 cm), several of which can be joined to suit your needs. The sloping ceilings, exposed beams, and different levels all contribute to the charm and authenticity of the place. Located at an altitude of 700 meters, the hamlet enjoys a particularly pleasant climate in summer, with temperatures generally cooler than in the valley. Fans are also provided in the bedrooms for added comfort. Outside, enjoy a large terrace, a private garden (depending on the cottage), and a pétanque court. Available for your use: a large private terrace, a games room shared by both cottages with a pool table, foosball, a library, and board games. Wellness area with shower, toilet, and sauna (optional: €12 per day, reservation required with the owners). Nature lovers will appreciate the many activities nearby: hiking on the Plateau d'Hauteville, cycling routes on the Bugey roads, swimming in Lake Virieu-le-Grand, exploring the Cerveyrieu waterfall, the Hostiaz via ferrata, farmers' markets, wine cellars, and Bugey wine tasting. The communal parking lot is located behind the house. Travel light: linens are provided. End-of-stay cleaning is available as an option.
