The Spur is such a lovely hotel in a small town. The whole place is decorated so cute. Super clean and the owner was so kind and accommodating. One of my favorite places Iâve ever stayed with my family.
My daughter and I spent one night at the Spur hotel and it was wonderful. Everything was perfect and couldnât ask for more! Very clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Cute room!! Now that we know about u we will b back to stay. Thank you for a very memorable stay. Gentlemen at check in was very nice!
The Spur Hotel is the only hotel in Archer City, Texas--population 1601 according to the city limits sign. It was bought and renovated several years ago after standing empty for a period. The hotel was built in the early 20th century, and I am sure there were many traveling salesmen who stayed there. Today people come to Archer City to see the home of recently deceased national author, Larry McMurtry. The hotel is very nice, and the owner talked a long time about his experience in owning the hotel and his hopes to purchase Larry McMurtry's mansion in Archer City. I highly recommend.
First stay with no staff interaction. Arrived to a locked front door with note to use the Ring button. Got key instructions and was let into hotel. Not a B& B but had coffee, juice, water and pastries. Great experience.
Wow, better than expected.Brutily cold weather, great for deer hunting, but very comfortable inside by the giant fireplace. The place was the cleanest and most enjoyable historic place in Archer City.We shaii return. Thanks
We loved staying at the Spur Hotel. Dottie, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Even saw her across the street at the diner and we stopped by the table to say hello.
Not much to do in this small town, but if you need somewhere to stay on your journey, I would definitely recommend The Spur Hotel!
