This is a cozy homey cabin which offered plenty of amenities and plenty of quiet and relaxation during our short stay. We would love to come back another time to visit.
Walked in super clean and inviting. Bedroom were super comfortable and roomy. I wish we had a TV in the bedrooms with one TV in the house we all had to agree on what to watch. LOL. The deck was super relaxing and beautifully redone. Everything about this place was wonderful.
The cabin was very nice, plenty of kitchen supplies to prep meals. The living room furnitire and the beds are very comfortable. Back deck stays in the shade most of the day. Laundry facilities are located in Arnold. The driveway a little steep, low car can scrape the ground.
Property was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable.TV not easy to use. Had a great time. Biggest problem was it took 3 hours to get in because of bad codes for door entrance. Then bad lock box code. Finally when someone showed up they opened lock with a another code which they didn't give us!
The cottage is beautifully situated in the woods near the main road but not on it. Arnold is a lovely little town. If you have ATT- there is no service outside. However the WiFi in the cottage was great. Get your directions before you leave! The furnishings are lovely and it was very clean. We had trouble with the entry code but the property manager arrived quickly to help. We would definitely stay here again
We loved the cabin. AC worked great during the heatwave, the kitchen had all the accouterments needed for meals, and the grill (very important to me) worked like a charm and we had great ribeye steaks seared to perfection. Wi-Fi was reliable and the neighborhood was quiet. We hope to book another stay here.
We were very happy with the place. The heating worked nicely and kept the house cozy. The kitchen was stocked with most things we needed, and the Big Trees Market was just across the street to pick up whatever wasn't in the kitchen. The location was great and easy to find. Instructions were clear.
There weren't too many negatives. The sliding glass door in the main bathroom (not the en suite one) was hard to open, and the water in the shower was hard to turn on too. An electric kettle would be great for boiling water, but we made do with the regular kettle.
I'd happily stay here again!
What a cute cabin that was clean and full of amenities!
Very comfortable seating in the living room, wood stove, and adjacent open den area with large television. Kitchen was completely furnished with lots of dishes, upscale pots and pans, and small appliances. Great Keirig coffee maker with options for a cup or a full pot. Great queen bed, lots of storage and bathrooms were fully accessorized. We'll be back!!
Our first impression was how clean and conveniently located the cabin was. The second impression was that there is NO cell service, which was not stated in the description. If it was, it was buried. The other item, which is my fault for not reading carefully, is that there is NO central heating. The wood stove is your heating source. We ended up not needing it because the weather was not too cold at night (we bundled up and the bed comforter was very warm). The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. It would have been nice if there was a binder left for renters which had local menus, hiking info, the phone # for Vacasa (not published anywhere in the house nor by the phone), check-out instructions, how to use the electronics, how to use the wood stove, etc. And I totally agree that 4pm check-in and 10am check-out is horrible. I read other listings using Vacasa and I see that is their standard check-out time. We will avoid renting again from a property managed by Vacasa.
Well, everything was great⊠until my girlfriend fell THROUGH THE DECK! The wood broke beneath her feet. Ive waited weeks to hear from the operations manager about reimbursing us for the safety hazard, that someone could sue over, but clearly, he/she has chosen to play the waiting game in hopes we just forget and move on. So here is your 1 star review for your shady absence/incompetence. Maybe we will finally hear back from you, now.
All the comforts of home in a very peaceful and beautiful location. This cabin exceeded our expectations. Tons of fun games, puzzle, music and tv/movie watching options. All kitchen linen, cooking/baking ware provided & spices. Plus, towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, hangers/dresser and comfy bedding. We hope to make this an annual summer trip. Short drive to shopping, national parks, wineries and resturants. Easy check-in and out.
We arrived to the house at 8pm with 2 kids (ages 3 & 5). It was 36 degrees outside and 36 degrees inside (the thermostat/heater was set to off). We turned on the heat immediately, my husband built a fire in the wood stove, and by an hour later it was around 45 degrees inside. We put the the kids to bed in coats, hats and under layers of blankets.
When I contacted the property management company, Vacasa, I was told that this is standard practice to keep the heat completely off between stays to save propane. I asked that they change this policy, as arriving to such a cold house, especially with young children, is not acceptable.
By the next morning the house was warm and very cozy, and the rest of our stay was amazing. The kids had a great time playing in the snow just outside in the yard, we went to dinner in town one night, and the house was very well appointed.
Iâm not sure if Iâll ever stay in another Vacasa rented property during the winter, but our trip was overall very enjoyable other than the check-in/arrival experience.
Our family of four stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. We went skiing at Bear Valley (about a 40 min drive) and visited the giant sequoias (5 min away). The cabin had everything we needed, including books and blocks for the kids, and all the kitchen items we required. Iâd happily stay here again!
Wonderful cabin at great location with very competitive price.
This cabin has everything you need. It is situated 2 min away from main Arnold main mall and also very close to the route 4. It is clean, spacious and has everything you need for a mountain gateway. Heating works perfectly. Also driveway is accessible without any problems in wintertime.
Nice place, comfortable beds and good appliances. Only small problem, is the shower handle in master bath, is so hard to pull out that it couldn't be used.
