This is the most equipped place i have ever stayed at. It has everything you need! The stay was amazing. The family had a blast. I want to see your other places. We'll tell all our friends.
We were a a large family group of eight: myself (the grandmother, my two daughters, their husbands, three grandchildren, and two small dogs) . We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. We have gone to the area almost every year for the past 10 years, and this was the best rental ever. It had everything we needed. It was beautifully clean, had everything a kitchen could ever need, and even a table where we could all sit together. The loft playroom was the draw for the holden. I now need to learn to play pool! We canât wait to return.
Eight of us with one golden retriever had a blast snowmobiling and sledding at Bear Valley. This home accommodated us well. Owners were very responsive. Fun times playing pool, fooze ball and games.
We really enjoyed our stay and the place was perfect for us. Our family took over the downstairs and our friends took the middle floor. The dog was comfortable on the enclosed porch and could also come out to what looked like a small dog run off the downstairs. The loft was fun for all, with the pool table and foosball. Kitchen and dining table was comfortable and had all the basics. There were even some ziplock bags that came in handy.
That said, there were a few little things that were not A+ (but we didnât seek that), like a number of clocks were showing different times in the house, and a couple of things were broken in the downstairs bathroom.
Also, maybe I didnât read very carefully that in order to use the swimming pool and all the other things the club had to offer, we had to pay 20$/person. Since we only planned to splash for an hour and we were a group of 10 people, we decided it was not worth it for us. We ended up going to White Pines Lake and splashing for free. Got to see a bald eagle catch some fish right in front of us. It was pretty cool. Next time we will have more experience and can plan to spend a day at the club, which looked pretty fun and had a lot to offer.
Overall it was a great stay and we are very grateful to Jono for offering the house to us.
Thank you!
What a great cabin! Plenty of room for two families with teenage kids. Great cabin for a dog since the deck is fenced in with gates. Beds were comfy and since the weather was kind of cold we took advantage of the amazing wood burning stove. It was so cozy. We loved the pool table and ping pong table. Jono was an amazing host and very responsive! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Ample sleeping areas. We all enjoyed the loft game room and the overall local was wonderful! Our dog was allowed to join in our trip and we are grateful that this property is pet friendly!
Spacious and comfortable, this house accommodates a large group of friends. There's a huge loft with a pool table and games, table tennis and darts downstairs, a big couch, big table, good kitchen. The location is pleasant and quiet (not walking distance to the store, but easy to get to), conveniently close to the Big Trees Park, and between Bear Valley (cross country skiing) and Murphys/Angels Camp, so we could enjoy visiting those even when it rained for three days straight. The host responds to questions very promptly.
First time to Arnold, and we loved it! It's in a very quiet neighborhood where it's easy to walk the dogs. We took them snow-shoeing in the super-deep snow in Bear Valley, but enjoyed not having to deal with slick roads in Arnold itself. There were some surprisingly good restaurants nearby, and we also enjoyed cooking in the well-designed kitchen. Everything we needed was there.
The one surprise (and we've been in touch with the owners about this) is that I did not expect to need the wood-burning stove to adequately heat the house. Somehow I was under the impression that it was there for charm, but that the house would be well-heated otherwise. That was not the case, but we quickly got in the groove with the wood-burning stove and ended up enjoying it. Just a word to the wise that -- in winter -- you'll need to start your morning by building a fire. Once it got going, however, we were quite toasty and warm.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at the Chalet with our family of 6 adults, 4 children (1 under 2), and 2 dogs. A large dining table allowed us to all sit together for meals. The kitchen was very well supplied, and the wood stove kept us all warm and cozy. The children loved the upstairs loft with pool table, foosball, and games; and the downstairs ping pong table, dart board, and 2nd TV. There is also a dog run under the house. This home is just up the hill from Hwy. 4 and close to lots of activities.
We highly recommend this home for families - it was perfect for us!
We absolutely loved staying at this cabin! We are an extended family of six and the cabin was extremely spacious with enough room for everyone. The kids loved the game room in the loft and it was the perfect layout for a family gathering. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities and more. The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly with only a short drive to the Blue Lake Springs area and Fly in Acres Lake. The owner was very helpful and responsive and we felt right at the home. We will definitely be coming back!
We came up for a mid week getaway with our kids and found the perfect place to settle in and be together. Plenty of space for lounging, playing games and cooking. Lots to do with nearby parks, lakes, wine tasting, Big Trees and even a fun mini golf excursion in Murphyâs. Looking forward to staying here again and exploring more of what the area has to offer.
