Easy walking distance to Avalanche Peak and Devil's Punchbowl
Lovely huge house nestled in the woods. Easy walking distance to Avalanche Peak and Devil's Punchbowl walking tracks. Be sure to use firewood from the woodshed, the outdoor wood is often wet.
We loved the log-cabin/chalet vibe of this cosy, old-fashioned bach. Great for a group of us staying with upstairs and downstairs spaces. Amazing location, we had a wonderful time.
Wonderful location - easy walk into town and access to tracks easily.Beautiful chalet with everything you need. Was perfect for Christmas and felt cosy and warm in the wet weather!
We were 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. Very spacious house. Clean and comfortable. Was a bit cold initially but once we lit the fire and used the heat pumps the house was nice and warm.
Highly recommend and would stay there again!
Wonderful, warm Basecamp for exploring the Arthur's Pass area. Clean and well appointed house with lots of living space.
Great fire and heating for those cold winter days.
I would have given it five stars if it had a hot tub, like of said in the listing description! Great place nonetheless!
This well-equipped chalet provides a comfortable base from which to explore this area. Comfortable beds and good heating options for keeping warm and toasty. Lots of walks nearby and options to eat out. Enjoyed train watching too.
We were disappointed with this place regardless of the good reviews left by others. We departed a day early because it was not a good experience: mouse traps next to clean wine glasses, a mix of many wires on either side of the bed, and a old smelling first level forced us to leave early. I contacted the owner, Heidi, and her response was:â this has never happened beforeââand that was all.
Idyllic large, spacious rustic lodge huge balcony to relax.
Excellent large, spacious rustic and very quaint lodge huge balcony to relax.
With excellent view of mountains and Arthur pass railway. Very clean for such a rustic cottage.
Perfect location for strolling to the Devils punchbowl waterfall(5mins walk to foot of waterfall and 30mins climb). Beautiful birdsong and stargazing from balcony.
Loved our 2night stay. Thank you so much - highlight of our months trip
The chalet was fantastic - wooden rafters and ceilings throughout, great open fire in a huge lounge room, large sunny deck, well stocked kitchen, good bedrooms. We were only there for two nights but would really like to return
This was a lovely stay, with excellent facilities and a very lovely cabin to stay. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. We had a lovely time staying in Arthurâs Pass Village.
This place was a unique charming chalet in Arthur's Pass. was perfectly located for hikes. Kitchen had everything for cooking and the living area was super cozy for after hike relaxing with friends. Loved it!
Warm and spacious family accomodation in great location.
Lovely stay at the chalet for 2 families. Lovely and warm with the fire going and the kitchen was well equipped for eating in. Great location for walks in Arthurâs Pass. The host was great at communicating and we would definitely stay again
We loved staying here - just down the road from the village and close to lots of walks into the surrounding beech forest. On rainy days the large open fire in the lounge was a great place to gather around. Thanks for making this place available.
House was the perfect place for 2 days getting off the grid . Just wanted to chill out and breathe. This is the perfect place to do that. Good kitcken almost showers comfy couche.
Easy peasy
The house was very roomy with a well stocked kitchen, but it was actually older than it appears in the photos. When we first entered the house , it smelled smoky and musty, but we opened all the windows and took care of that. Good luck trying to work with the three remotes required to operate the TV!
We had a really great time at Arthurâs Pass; hiking the plethora of walking trails that are in the area. The house itself had everything we needed; plenty of space and a well-stocked kitchen. It was pretty cold and rainy for the whole of our stay, but the fire made the house feel cosy. Heidi was great to deal with and made check in etc a breeze. Weâd definitely stay again if we found ourselves back in the area.
