This room was fantastic. The property sits on a black sand beach and has a very large pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only minor issue was that the WiFi was very spotty. When we checked out, the receptionist told us that there is a setting for iOS devices that is needed for a more stable connection, so be sure to check with them when you arrive.

Good for a couple of nights

We stayed here after a 15 day cruise. On a positive start, the front desk staff was amazing! We forgot an adapter and they found us one for my husband's cpap. The pool area was beautiful except the hot tub was dirty and out of order. Our room on the 5th floor in building 3 was 2 story with spectacular floor to ceiling windows on both floors. You can't beat the view. One problem the shears were missing so choice is black out curtains or hot afternoon sun beating in, however, each night the sunsets were spectacular. Hot water was iffy every late afternoon early evening. There is a place for a refrigerator, but it was ripped out and I was told they did that because they had problems with the mini bar. I think it's because they have an ant infestation and didn't want food in rooms. Or maybe so you had to keep buying their food. Some of the food was good some was not. It was hit or miss and the same thing with the service for food and drinks. Lots of free entertainment that was enjoyable. We booked a snorkel trip through the activities people in the boutique, and it was the best snorkeling we've ever done. The free bus ride to and from Papeete was entertaining with the whole bus singing with our driver. There is no where to eat nearby, so you're options are limited. We had leftover pizza and they charged us $2.50 for a box to take it to room! If you need a place to land before or after a flight or cruise it's a good option for a couple of days. Easy cab to airport.

The beach where the hotel resides is beautiful, but the hotel is overcrowded and very noisy. Also, it’s far from any restaurants or shops so you’re stuck at the restaurant that has very little options/opening hours. Shuttle does not work on Sundays which is not well-marketed.

Nice hotel but beware some of the staff

Overall we had a good experience with this hotel. We got a free upgrade upon checking in. Our suite was huge. Our large living room has a hot tub, balcony, couch, multiple chairs and kitchen area. The separate bedroom had comfortable bed and pillows and large windows. The bathroom was large and well stocked. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, and the restaurant/bar. Our biggest problem was with the activities desk. We wanted to book a tour around the island. Their preferred vendor was sold out for all the days we would be there. We asked if they could help us contact other tour groups, since theirs was unavailable. We were very rudely and bluntly informed they would not help us with anything but their specific vendor and sent us away. The front desk was more helpful and we ended up renting a car through the front desk. We spent our entire vacation at Pearl Resort hotels on multiple islands and the attitude we received at the activities desk did not match with the staff at all their other resorts. It was a disappointing end to a fantastic vacation. We did enjoy the hotel but advise anyone visiting to about the activities desk.

There were issues with inadequate cooling in the unit, water clogging in shower in not one both but both bathrooms since I was moved to another room. As well as when I initially contacted the manager to address my concerns she was rude and asked me a multitude of questions and asked me and I quote, “what would you like me to do,” Once we both calmed down, I was able to get a resolution but I would not stay here again. The outside of the building is dated, no clear signage in parking areas to direct you. The dinner staff was pleasant and the ground and beach were nice but overall not worth the price if an issue arises.

Check-in: arrived early, stored luggage and lounged by the pool. Relaxing grounds. End of Honeymoon trip, but they did not receive reservation note. I had to ask for the Honeymoon gift (straw beach bag), room was not decorated like others'. Reception said - only for honeymooners, but non-honeymooners said they got it. Room: king size bed, covered open air dining area, balcony, kitchen (no microwave), washing machine (no dryer), TV, wifi, bathroom - shower (no tub) with half glass wall (water splashes). Clean, spacious, views of the black sand beach. Large property, open air restaurant, bar with happy hour. Thurs/Sat there are Polynesian dance shows with buffet dinner ($65 per person, by reservation). There's a hot tub, but broken? Black sand beach, only experienced swimmers. Gift shops - manager was aggressive when I asked about VAT tax. French Polynesia VAT Tax is more complicated than other places that I've traveled to, I wanted to understand it, she barked at me in front others - I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was a paying customer (bought a setting for a pearl), I was shocked to be spoken to this way. I went back the next day when she wasn't there, the younger, local sales girl explained their VAT tax to me much, much better and was very kind. Reception staff friendly, taxi to airport arranged, 2x/day free shuttle to downtown Papeete is a must for shopping (nothing walkable by resort). 20 min walk uphill to a lookout over Matavai Bay, great for pictures.

We are a family of two adults and two kids who recently stayed at Le Tahiti by Pearl Resorts. Unfortunately, our experience was not as great as we had hoped. The property and facilities were in strictly okay condition. The photos on Expedia looked better than the actual property. While the hotel claims to have the strongest WiFi on the island, we found that it only worked well in the living room and not at all in the bedroom. Room service was inconsistent; sometimes they responded quickly, but other times it took too long. Getting around required taxi service, and sometimes the wait was more than 30 minutes, so planning ahead was essential. On the upside, the staff were generally helpful. They assisted us with local knowledge and were accommodating in arranging taxi services. Our check-in and check-out experience was generally smooth. However, language was occasionally a barrier as not everyone was comfortable with English; most spoke French, which we did not know. Overall, we did not have a great experience, but we appreciated the helpfulness of the staff.

La habitación, espaciosa y confortable, no tenía una refrigeradora; nos propusieron guardar nuestros productos en la refrigeradora de la recepción. El personal fue amable y servicial. El la carta del menú, había gnocchis mencionado « sin gluten » ; pero unos meseros dijeron que si, tenía gluten (trigo). Sería bueno rectificar eso en el menú para evitar un problema de salud con alguien alérgico al gluten.
