A good spot to visit downtown Asheville. A bit away from the busy part of downtown (which I preferred). Slightly loud due to the proximity to the restaurant and bakery as well as the loud entry door. I would recommend this property overall as a good location.
The accommodations were clean and spacious for two. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glassware, and cookware. Bed and furniture was comfortable. Great location close to all the restaurants, bars, breweries, and entertainment of the downtown area, as well as in the mountains and Biltmore Estate. Parking on-site was convenient. We enjoyed our trip to the area and would recommend this unit as a place to base yourself from.
Loved our stay at this place. Yes, the shop downstairs does have a loud door, but it is only during daytime shop hours. As long as you aren't trying to take a nap during the day then it isn't an issue at all. Super easy check in and check out. Great space overall!
We had a great time apartment was close to everything. There was alot to do and see. The apartment was i little on the noisy but it would not stop me from staying again
We enjoyed the property and the proximity to downtown but unfortunately our upstairs neighbors were very loud early in the morning. I would still go back.
Let me start by saying the place is beautiful on the inside and itâs only a mile walk from âthe middle of downtownâ, the city bakery is absolutely delicious, and itâs just a nice place to relax. My advice would be that on the days the bakery is open parking fills up so walk anywhere you need to go. Also, the room we stayed in did not have a deadbolt lock just the keypad on the outside, so no way to actually lock it from the inside, the bathroom door also didnât shut and lock and the shower door just moves freely both ways so it makes a mess on the floor
I love this mixed-use building. The restaurants on the lower level are amazing, and the apartment was ideal for us. My mom and I came to Asheville to see my son at boarding school. She slept in the bedroom and I used the pull-out sofa. The linens were nice, the towels fluffy, the place clean and well appointed. The view outside across Charlotte St was lovely. We will stay here again. ***only negative is that there wasn't a wine opener :) Good thing we travel with one!
This property is really nice and in a great location but between the street noise and the neighbors it was incredibly difficult to enjoy the stay. The traffic is loud and the cross walk talks all night âwalk walk walkâ. Also, pretty sure the upstairs neighbors have a bowling alley in their apartment. The main door to access the units slams all night long. Bring earplugs and benedryl.
This little apartment was great for a week of exploring Asheville. It provided more space than a hotel. We could walk to downtown (it was a bit of a distance) if we wanted or take an Uber. It was a short to the breweries & Biltmore House. The drive to hike in the mountains was only about 45 minutes.
The bakery downstairs was nice to pop into for a morning coffee. And, the restaurant was excellent.
The apartment was clean and well appointed. We received quick responses from Brandon with only 1 issue. The little sunroom/office was a great bonus to catch up on work or plan our next trip.
We really enjoyed the place and town.
Positive: This condo is convenient because itâs 1/4 miles of walking distance to 3 grocery stores: Wholefoods, Trader Joeâs, and Harris Teeter. There Bone Broth Restaurant is below it, if you donât want to cook. Thee coffee shop next to the Bone Broth, opens every Tuesdays- Sundays. The king bed is comfortable for the 2 of us.
Negative:
Itâs on the corner of a very busy intersection, Charlotte and Chestnut. N top of that, the windows are very thin so you will hear cars go by all times of the day if you are a light sleeper. Additionally, thereâs another unit on the third floor so you will hear every single foot steps from your upstairs renter. The young parents with a young child rented the unit right above us. We could hear their young boy running back and forth in the day. Whenever the parents walk around, we could hear their every single footsteps. The Chop Shop is also underneath the condo. During business hours, we could hear the door slam constantly whenever the staff from The Chop Shop carrying supplies to The Bone Broth Restaurant.
Would I rent this unit again? No. We like quiet places whenever we travel. This condo is too noisy for us.
Excellent property and walking distance from cafes, restaurants, and downtown Asheville⊠My wife and I enjoyed this rental. It was clean and perfect for a weekend getaway!
This place was nice and in a great location. Only complaints were that the dryer doesnât work very well (we had to put one load in 3 cycles because it wouldnât dry), and they had coffee and a coffee maker but no coffee filters, so we couldnât actually make coffee. Also, the chair that came with desk didnât actually fit under the desk, which made it difficult to work at. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
We have stayed at other VRBO properties & unlike past stays this property does NOT feel like a good value for the money. Essentially we're paying over $400/night for a property that lacks some basic amenities such as a blow dryer & a mirror to apply makeup as well as a closet door which is off the hinges. It would have been nice to have a few bottles of water in the refrigerator as well. The property was clean & seemed nicely decorated but we felt that it was overpriced & wished it was a bit closer to the heart of downtown. This is an older building & you can hear every door slam, person talking, as well as street traffic. The bed was neither super comfortable or uncomfortable- not a remarkable stay.
