I was running from trauma when I landed in Astoria and the staff was extremely kind and supporting. They helped me print the paperwork I needed and gave me a quiet comfortable room where I slept like a baby next to the sea.

Great location and friendly staff. Older facilities. LOVED our bunkbed for our kids- this is rare for this pricepoint, and the room was huge. No AC but a fan worked well enough. Smell of fish on entire property was a bit overwhelming (right on marina, but weve stayed many other marina places and didnt have quite as pungent of a smell.) Other complaint is just swarms of flies all out front we had to walk through (especially stairwells.) Some bugspraying would do wonders and odor control. Can walk to trolley and Bridgewater Bistro, which is excellent. Be aware trolley had very limited hours.

We got a room for the Fourth of July weekend so we could see the fireworks over the marina. Within the first hour of checking in, we noticed that the toilet was non operational. I informed the front desk immediately and was told that there was no one on the premises that was qualified to fix the problem. They then gave us a plunger and told us to deal with it. With it being a holiday weekend, everything in the area was booked so we were stuck for 2 days with a toilet that would only flush water with the help of a plunger. Anything else, we had to use the local gas station. It was completely unacceptable. I even made an effort to contact management after our stay and they couldn’t be bothered to respond. Poor business ethics and definitely not worth the money put out to not be provided a basic necessity.

The staff is doing their best with what they've been handed (things are tidy and clean), but this place is decrepit. Fresh paint barely covers rotting siding; weeds and grass are growing in the sagging or falling-off gutters; the door handle is broken, and has suggestions written on the handle in black marker as to how to jimmy it open; room smells a little funky; screens long gone from the sliding door and window; balcony framing is rotting away; bathroom mirror has rust creeping in at the edges; the furniture is threadbare; the main sign looks like it's from a post-apocalytpic movie set; the place is surrounded by bedraggled industrial wasteland, with piles of junk and acres of pavement; the place just immediately reads super sketchy. I cannot imagine where any of these glowing reviews come from. --plain falsehoods.

This is barely a 1 star property. I cant believe the reviews given. The room smelled, the bed wasn't stable, the floor sloped, the carpet was dirty, you were attacked by flies anytime you went in room, pigeons had roosted in the walls and woke you up with the sun. The pictures of the property were not what we saw. The front desk staff had no clue about restaurants within walking distance.

We loved the view out of our room and we're so delighted by the bathroom arrangement that included an additional sink and mirror in a lovely little alcove outside the bathroom which expedited getting ready in the morning. The room was immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We liked the view of the dock from our room. It was nice to have a little patio. The space was good and clean. The only concern is during breakfast they ran out of some of the food - mostly because they are understaffed (as a sign said). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
