The room is very small, not for more than two people (we had our kid with us). Although main tourist places are walkable distance, the area around is not that nice. The “pool” is very small can not fit more than 2-3 people at the time.

This is a good affordable hotel with a rooftop pool that exceeds what you would expect from a hotel in this category. Walking to the city center was manageable and felt safe even late at night. The room AC worked great, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. An all around good option if your looking to safe some money and willing to walk a little bit by staying outside the city center.

I will definitely stay here again! Everything was very homey and the staff was always willing to go above and beyond. I recommend you stay here if you come to Athens. It was also very easy to walk to restaurants and Acropolis.

This hotel was very convenient for central Athens and the Acropolis etc. The road that it is on is a bit shabby unfortunately. However the hotel staff were amazing, second to none. Just wonderful people and made our holiday. They really made us feel welcome. Our room was also beautifully cleaned every day. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Such friendly and helpful staff at this lovely hotel. Rooms are modern with everything you need and plenty of room for a family of 4. I'd highly recommend the panoramic suite - what a view! The local area is slightly run down but perfectly safe and inside the hotel you'd never know. The location is also fantastic as 3 mins to the Temple Olympian, 5 mins walk to the Acropolis, 15 to Parliament, 15 to Plaka and the great restaurants! The pool and roof terrace overlooking the Acropolis was a real bonus and the kids loved it- it was warm water too. Laundry facilities are also great and helpful when travelling with kids. I would highly recommend Athesense Suites! Read less

The staff here were so helpful and welcoming. Had plenty of advice to give on the local area and were able to provide towels and irons where needed. Hotel was spotless, beautifully decorated, and quiet for a restful nights sleep. The roof top pool is small but an excellent way to cool off or relax after a day catching the sights!

Avoid - air con broken, ant infestation, loud

Horrendous - the air conditioning did not work despite the temperature in Athens being 25°. The room was unbearably hot but told the air con is only turned on in the summer. To make things worse, opening the windows is impossible with the noise on the main road so we didn’t sleep well throughout the entire stay. Then, in the bathroom, a broken extractor fan and an infestation of ants, which was disgusting. Crawling around the floor non-stop the entire stay. We checked out early, asked for a partial refund, and the manager offered up nothing. Save your money and avoid this place.

Great location and staff. Annie made our stay AMAZING. She had the best recommendations, was always available to help us and made us feel so special and welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and the shower had very hot water which was great for relaxing. They also offer massage services and helped us order food whenever we didn't want to go out. The hotel had a wonderful view from the rooftop pool and a couple of bus/tram stations nearby which made getting around very convenient.

We stayed in the Athesense suites for 1 week in early Dec 2024. The hotel itself is lovely - clean, modern design and with great roof terrace with views to the Acropolis - including from the heated pool (slightly bigger than hot tub size, but perfect for a dip or to play with kids). The family suite was perfect for our family of 4 - our kids loved having their very own upstairs bedroom, bathroom and terrace! Staff at the hotel are exceptional - friendly, happy and super helpful. Location wise the hotel is in walking distance of all the main attractions. Admittedly the neighbourhood doesn’t look anything special, but once you get used to it, it’s actually very good with nearby 24hr shop that does good coffee, cheese pie bakery (when in Athens…) and some local restaurants and bars. Also only short walk to Fika (very nice bakery) and Le Greche (best ice cream). Overall I would highly recommend Athesense suites to anyone planning a trip to Athens.

Good location within walking distance to tram, buses, metro. Near the shopping areas, has AB supermarket nearby. Lots of dining options a few blocks away.
