We only stayed for one night and even though it was a short stay, we still had an amazing experience. The staff were so lovely and helpful, and the views from our room were stunning. The staff were very transparent in relation to the docking of a cruise ship along side the hotel, which meant views would be obscured. It was disappointed but we were happy to know well in advance.
Fabulous location especially if going on a cruise...my suitcase wheel was defective the maintenace man fixed it..
Staff accomodating, lovely cleen rooms...spacious 5***
Great view right on the pier, the only issue is the cruise ships overwhelmed the parking area when they come in

Not on a cruise? Avoid
Avoid this hotel unless you are traveling on a cruise. If a ship docks next to hotel it towers over the building and it’s impossible to get in and out of the hotel due to 4000 people everywhere trying to get away from the dock.
Booked months in advance but only warned about docking dates days before arrival.
Hallways are tired and while staff are helpful this hotel chain needs to think hard about how they brand this location

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Property was a bit tired looking especially for the price point. It needs a renovation. Mold in grout in shower, etc.
Be sure you understand that any room that doesn’t face the water, is not a city view but rather a view of an apartment which = closed curtains all the time.
Very convenient if you are cruising given its proximity to the port.
The Hilton Auckland Hotel is a beautiful property that offers a memorable experience. My wife and I stayed there for one night before embarking on a cruise, and the location couldn't have been more convenient, with the cruise ship docked just beside the hotel.
The hotel's decor is elegant, and our Harbour Plus room, which provided breathtaking views of the harbour, was beautifully appointed with all the amenities we could need.
While breakfast was included, I found it disappointing that they charged extra for a cappuccino—this felt a bit petty. Additionally, the breakfast buffet could use some improvement; we had to remind the staff several times to replenish the offerings. I also experienced a long wait of 40 minutes for an omelette, which did not meet my expectations for timely service.
Overall, our stay was enjoyable and convenient, but some areas could be enhanced to make it truly exceptional.
Enjoyed great views from the harbor other than when the cruise ship was docked, although I did receive a message in advance from the hotel about that possibility. Greatly enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Wonderful hotel, great room & views, wonderful concierge services, walkable to the great restaurants in Viaduct Harbor. The only small negatives, when a Cruse ship comes in the Opera side rooms lose their view for a day and parking becomes tight.
