We stay at the Hampton Inn whenever we’re in Augusta. It’s convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful. Even during the updates to the facility, all the amenities were accessible.

This hotel was horrible! I understand they were renovating, but as of March 15, the renovations were supposedly complete—yet the place still smelled bad, especially in the hallways. For the price we paid, I expected a better location, but it’s surrounded by what looks like abandoned hotels. Our room wasn’t up to par either—definitely not worth the cost. To make things worse, the staff was rude. This morning, while guests were trying to enjoy breakfast, an employee was already cleaning up—even though breakfast doesn’t end until 10 AM. This was around 8:45 AM! It was uncomfortable and unnecessary.

Good stay just short of excellent.

The stay was good overall. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel would have received and Excellent rating accept for the fact that our room was not serviced the second day and that is a pet peeve of mine. Apparently quite of few other guests had the same issue. I notified both the night shift as well as the day shift. All they could offer was and apology but no explanation other than they may have been short staffed.
