The service at this hotel is what makes it 5 stars. All the staff are pleasant and were amazingly helpful when our originally scheduled ferry was canceled. Our room didn’t have a view, had an awkward amount of furniture (highly recommend removing the extra chair so there’s a place for luggage - we stored it above the fridge to make space), and was a little dated. But it served its purpose and the AC worked great so no complaints :-). SUPER convenient to get to anywhere in Avalon by walking.

The room was filthy, could hear everything through the walls. There was no way to actually get to the hotel on a golf cart, we had to carry all of our bags not only to the middle of the town, but up two flights of steep stairs because there was not an elevator, that should have been made very clear before we made the reservation, not after

The hotel is very old, but I loved our room. Small, but it had everything we needed. The guy at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The hotel has a great location. The only drawback for me was lots of stairs.

The location was very convenient - just across from the water, a quick commute from the boat pier, surrounded by shopping and dining. We had a single king bed room and it was certainly one of the smallest rooms I've had. There was barely enough room for two people to walk around, we had to sit at an angle on the toilet because the toilet and cabinet are so close (I'm only 5"1' for perspective). It's a bit outdated. The hotel is quiet despite being nearby so many amenities, the staff is very friendly. For the price, I would book at a different hotel in the future for more amenities, more space, and a bit more modernized.

Rm #1 was very outdated, tiny bathroom and very small room. We asked to be moved. They were full first night but moved us the second night. Rm #2 was better. Same outdated furniture, the bathroom was a bit bigger. The continental breakfast was not much. No ocean views, shops were very close. We would not stay there again.
