We really enjoyed our four day stay in Redcrest. The house is clean, well-furnished, and conveniently located to the Redwood parks and the Eel river. We would definitely stay here again.
We highly recommend this property when traveling through the Redwoods! It is quiet and beautiful. It was the perfect place to stay. The house is well cared for and loved. We had an amazing time!
The Redwood bungalow and the owners provided the perfect place to spend Christmas with the family. Clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with custom wood pieces!!
This property is top-notch and perfect for either a couple or families seeking a relaxing getaway in the heart of the redwood forest. It was very well kept and had great amenities! It is also well situated for those seeking to explore the ocean. Fabulous retreat!
Easy check in-check out process. Perfect location to explore the Humboldt redwoods. The artworks i. The house were beautiful. Covered parking made our rainy day stay easier.
We had a fantastic time at the "bungalow". This is really in the Redwoods and of the Redwoods. Also, The Redwood decore is beautiful. Thanks for making our stay in Redcrest so special. What a wonderful and friendly town.
This Bungalow has become a family favorite. We come and always enjoy the stay. When you walk in, the smell of cedar hits you and you really feel like it’s a home away from home. Quiet and still with the energy of the woods outside and the beautiful wood inside adorning the house give you a sense of balance and ease.
This house was perfect for our family. We wanted a place in the redwoods close to trails and attractions and this house was exactly that! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We cooked and had dinners at the house and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this home- the backyard is a dream.
This house was perfectly located to traverse the redwoods along Northern California coast. Used it to tour Avenue of Giants while heading out to the ocean, too. House was very comfortable and well equipped for our family. Had a lot of local tourism literature to help guide our trip. Great to come back to in evening after full day of outdoor adventures.
Gorgeous mountain and forest views. The yard was very private. Location is just a few minutes from lots of hiking in the Humboldt Redwoods. House was clean and comfortable with basic needs like TP, laundry soap, spices etc.... Being so close to the Ave of Giants there is traffic noise. You do have to drive a way for groceries and gas.
We stayed at the Avenue of the Giants bungalow for a long weekend to enjoy the Humboldt Redwoods. The location was absolutely perfect - right on the Avenue of the Giants and a short drive from many beautiful walks and hikes.
The house was clean and well kept and was a great fit for our family of four. We cooked several times and had everything we needed in the kitchen.
Host communication was excellent every step of the way.
We'll definitely be back!
This was an amazing place to stay during our focus on seeing the redwoods. We had ample space. Everything was clean and easy to find. The decor of burl wood tables, comfy couches and beds, open floor plan fit perfectly amongst the backdrop of giant trees. We enjoyed coffee on the back patio each morning as we watched the fog feed the tree tops before disappearing for the day. This was a great spot to start each day’s journey through the breathtaking ancient forest.
This is a really lovely home right in the heart of the redwoods. It's located on the Avenue of the Giants and very close to the old growth grove at Rockefeller Forest.
The home was very clean with a well stocked kitchen and beautifully maintained yard. The owner sent us all the information we needed a few days before the trip along with their cell phone for any urgent issues. It has beautiful redwood art inside as well, adding to the overall ambiance.
If you're headed to the redwoods this is a great place to call home for a few days.
House was easy to find and clean. Backyard was great for the kids. Open concept was great for conversations. Only issue was the electrical outlets. Many of the outlets didn't work: plug would fall out, hair drier wouldn't turn on. Had to go from room to room to find which outlets worked.
Such a cute little house! It is beautifully decorated and everything felt very clean! Fast internet. Nice hot water the moment you turn it on. Great location! My husband and I were there for the Humboldt marathon and it was the best location. You really are in the heart of the Avenue of the giants! So many hikes and beautiful trails within 10 minutes! My only concerns were the listing states it sleeps six comfortably so I was thinking 4 adults and 2 kids would be no problem but there was a king, queen, and one twin/futon but the other sleeping option was the couch without any pull out or removable cushions so it made for a very uncomfortable stay for my kiddos so we ended up purchasing an air mattress. Just wasn’t was I was expecting. Also all the smoke detectors in the hallways and rooms were either unplugged or didn’t have batteries so there was only one functioning smoke detector in the main common area. But the overall was lovely! We really did have a great stay! If you’re planning on running either marathon/half in the spring or fall this is a great place to stay with a small group of people.
This property has an ideal location for any Redwood memories that you wish to make. We had a less than 15minute drive to several hikes, picnics, and photo ops. It was perfect to head out in the morning and return for a family meal at lunch/dinner. We had fun making dinners at home in this perfectly appointed kitchen and relaxed in the quaint fenced in back yard. The owner has spectacular decor and a plethora of tourist books and brochures. Have fun!
We were in the area for a wedding and found this hidden gem to stay for three nights. It was convenient and comfortable. Being located in a great section of the redwood forest get a huge bonus!
Perfect property and location for visiting the Redwoods
We loved this house! Very stylish and comfortable in a convenient location right on the Avenue of the Giants. Redcrest has a lovely atmosphere. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend this property.
