Loved the pool. Could use some updates inside Great location! Founds ants in kitchen and bathrooms. Great new decking and lots of outdoor furniture!!

Love the quiet

Especially enjoyed having a pool so accessible and it was very clean. After encountering blackflies one time and a jellyfish sting the kids much preferred staying at the pool. One thing not mentioned and was definitely a plus what the sheets and towels were included through Vacasa. Conveniently located very close to the Food Lion. We rented bikes and went back-and-forth would definitely rent again.

The house was great for our family. We had family from out of the country and wanted to give them the American beach week experience. The walk to the beach was easy and straightforward. The pool size was great for our large group.

Great beach house in great location

Irene’s Dream is well laid out and very comfortable for a large group of adults and kids. Well stocked kitchen, family room has extra fridge and dishwasher and pool table. House was clean and an easy short walk to beach.

Very nice house

The first floor has a nice size "game room" with a pool table, own little mini kitchen. Second floor is bedrooms, there is only 2 bathrooms to share amongst the 4 bedrooms though which makes it a little difficult with a full house. Third floor is the kitchen/living room with a bedroom and bathroom as well. Hot tub and pool are a great size and were very nice and clean.

Irenes Dream

The house was perfect for a family vacation. It's a hidden gem in Avon. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies, pool and decks were absolutely beautiful, gameroom was a big hit for our teens! Would recommend it to anyone looking for a house with lots of ammenities and a short walk to the beach and shoppping. Although, would not recommend renting it on vacasa unless you have to ~ they were not helpful what so ever nor did they try to be helpful in the beginning of our stay when we needed assistance ~ which was very discouraging. Otherwise, it was a perfect vacation. Thank you Irene's Dream for hosting us!

Great Location and Great Property

Irene's Dream is a great home in a great location. The home was exactly as described. Our group enjoyed the multiple floors. The kids were downstairs playing pool and video games on rainy days while the adults were upstairs enjoying each others company. You could not hear the kids downstairs and they could not hear us. The house has multiple areas to escape to. The pool was great as well as the hot tub. The pool was very private with the surrounding vegetation. We did not use either very much due to the rainy weather. The location was excellent with shops and grocery nearby. I would certainly stay here again.

This house is very well equipped with everything you will need! Kitchen was great! Bedroom and bathrooms were very spacious and comfortable! Plenty of room for 14 people to spread out! Only complaint or inconvenience was it was very chilly while we were on vacation this past week and we paid for pool heat and it never worked. We called everyday for 5 days straight and no one ever came out to fix. Hot tub also needed some maintenance and chemicals, water was very cloudy.

For families of any size

The driveway is perfect for everyones car and to be able to park and go easily without having to move cars around. When you enter the house room #1 is right there, the around the corner is the pool table (that came in great fun daily) and the pool is easily accessible out the back door. The next level are more bedrooms/bathrooms and a great laundry facility. The 3rd floor is another bedroom, a great room with kitchen, living space and plenty of seating for large family meals. The pool area was large enough for everyone in the family to enjoy all at once. We did plenty of cooking out on the grill (and ran out of propane, and Hatteras was happy to exchange a new one for us) I would definitely recommend this house for families, and great for little ones too. I was very happy with my stay at Irene's Dream

First, the good. The location is perfect, close to the beach, close to the grocery store, and plenty of great restaurants around. The pool is so clean and such a good size. We used it every day! We had a large group, and the downstairs lounge room was the perfect place to hang out after people started going to bed. Unfortunately, the house was not clean at all. There were bugs smashed onto the walls. Hair and sand in the showers. By far, the worst part was the kitchen. Everything was covered in a layer of grease. It was literally dripping down the cabinets. Four of us spent the first morning scrubbing everything down. There is also a terrible smell coming from the washer/dryer area. They have tried to cover it up with an air freshener, but it is not working. And this is very minor, but a couple of the beds didn't have sheets on them, so we had to make the beds ourselves.

Property was not cleaned prior to check in socks outside trash piled up couldn’t even use the trash cans. Counters not cleaned freeze buildup on the microwave bedrooms a mess. Found a used pad under a bed trash behind the couch. Never again. I reached out countless times to management never made anything right

“Irene’s Dream” is no Dream

I don’t know where to begin. The hot tub was filthy and there was trash around the pool when we arrived (we had the kids pick it up). The grill was horribly gross (mold, etc.) We called right away and left a message (of course check-in is at 5pm after they are closed), texted, and filled out a maintenance form. Ants in the kitchen, and a cockroach crawled across my face as I was falling asleep!!!! The dryer takes three FULL one hour cycles to dry an average load of clothes. As I said, we contacted someone right away on Saturday at check-in. Sunday at 2:40pm, we receive a voicemail saying maintenance was being notified (not when or who would be coming).... On Monday, after the cockroach incident, I lose my cool and show up to the realty building in-person (at this point we are jokingly calling it ‘Irene’s Nightmare’). I’m promised that someone is coming to clean the hot tub and grill and pest control. No one shows up all day. Tuesday, as we are all in our cars literally pulling out of the driveway, a man pulls up and wants to talk about the hot tub. We miss our ferry time. So it’s Tuesday late afternoon when we can finally use the grill and hot tub (we got there Saturday). Dryer never really worked well. Lots of cockroaches on the decks outside seen throughout the week. First floor smells musty all the time; carpet needs replacing. No DVD for main living room. We are supposed to be getting some sort of reimbursement for our troubles. I would use Hatteras Realty again based on the fact that they did eventually send someone out and the fact that I am supposed to be reimbursed, however, I would never stay at “Irene’s Dream” ever again unless major improvements are made.
