Great location for fishing tournament with the family we all enjoyed the stay the house was just right and plenty of room to spread out and everyone to have their our areas. Would definitely stay here again
We loved staying at Nature's Point! The sunsets were beautiful although there are two houses that will always be in your pictures (you can see the sun set on the water between them). We watched birds, a raccoon, deer, a muskrat, white egrets, great blue heron, green heron..... The walk to the beach is only 1/2 mile, however, that beach access is closed for the 2022 summer for sand dredging. You will LOVE Nature's Point!
PROS: Location was convenient. A short walk to the beach and pretty view of the Sound. Elevator was a god send, when hauling luggage, etc. to the various floors. Unit was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook a meal. Beds were comfortable, with plenty of additional blankets, pillows and linens provided. Hot tub was wonderful. We brought our dog with us and they had a nice gate feature on the 1st floor stairway that would keep him contained in that area. The 1st floor had vinyl flooring, so if we left the house, we'd keep him in that area and if a mistake was made, it was an easy clean up. Great idea.
CONS: The gas fireplace was not functional. We were disappointed because we had bad weather for our stay and the fireplace would have been nice. Now small things...Only 1 trash bag was given. No sponge or dish washing cloth. 1 tiny bar of soap was given per bathroom. Larger bars of soap would have been better for showers. One kitchen cabinet door was missing. Must have been broken in the past and never replaced. For looks purposes, I would do something to fix or replace it. Pool table was out of level, so couldn't use it. Stated there was a DVD player and library. There was not.
Overall, we were happy with our stay at Nature's Point and would definitely rent again.
We liked the house and location. Plenty of room and a great view! The issue was the lack of cleaning. The realty company has pushed check in times later because they say it allows for sanitizing/cleaning better due to Covid. Apparently not. Smelled urine when we first arrived in steps area. Floors in bathroom had dried fluid and hairs, mattress covers were stained, drawers in kitchen were full of dried foods, counters had dried food stuck on. Pretty sure none of the "sanitizing" took place. Very bad time to shortcut cleaning. I contacted the realty company and they promised the cleaning fee will be refunded. Sofas seemed dirty to us. We used some sheets and covered them for our stay. Cobwebs all over.. Also one of the kitchen cabinets was missing the door and there were 2 areas in living room that had wires hanging loose. Possibly had removed some surround speakers and never replaced? Will we rent again? Not sure. The house needs a real good cleaning and a new cleaning company.
We loved our stay at Natureâs Point! The location on the little canal leading to the sound was beautiful and peaceful. We didnât really do much in the water right behind the house since it was kind of mucky (of course my kids had to explore it!) but the sunset views were amazing. The screened-in porch on the top deck was great for evening hangouts. The hot tub was a nice plus too! The elevator was a huge help for our older parents, who stayed with us. The bedrooms were comfy and there was plenty of room for all of us (family of 5 and 2 grandparents).
The kitchen was really well stocked as far as cookware and dishes, etc, which was a huge plus. The street was nice and quiet, but close enough for us to bike to the Askins Creek market (there were a couple of bikes to use). The pool table/air hockey table was great too! A nice distraction when we needed a break from outdoors. Couldnât have asked for a better vacation spot!
The house was very nice with excellent views that were quite different from the normal sound front experience. The home was listed as canal front; however, it was more of an estuary with a lot of trees and vegetation. The pine area at the end of the boardwalk was very serene and beautiful. We greatly appreciated the elevator since we are seniors.
We absolutely LOVED this cottage. It has convinced us that the sound side is for us. It was quiet and private, tucked back on a creek by the sound. The sunsets were incredible. The house itself could have been a little cleaner, but it was nothing a little vacuuming and wiping didnât fix. The cottage itself was in fantastic shape, we didnât have a single issue with anything-all appliances worked well, windows and doors in great shape, nothing broken or even flimsy. The hot tub was perfect also. Some of the deck chairs were a little rickety and an outdoor gate was in need of some screws but other than that, nothing detrimental to our trip. We loved the elevator and wheelchair ramps both for transporting luggage and groceries, and also for our geriatric dog who wasnât thrilled with so many stairs in previous houses. It was a win win! We are already booked for this cottage for next year and canât wait for it!
Unfortunately, Hurricane Maria forced a mandatory evacuation of the area 2 days into our family vacation. Our time there, though short, was great! The house itself is comfortable, although the outside decks and furniture could use a little TLC. Loved the elevator and the master bedroom/bath on the main level of the house. Great for visitors with mobility issues! What ever few short comings the property may have are well made up for by the sunset views! They were INCREDIBLE! Our family made good use of the rope swings, the fishing dock, and the kayaks! Overall a fantastic property in a great location! Wish we could have stayed the full week!
