Stayed for one night passing through Bakersfield. Coming from vacation (Yosemite) Memorial Day weekend with my daughter 10 years old. The area is not safe and the people around are sketchy. Loud music was coming from the pool area into the late night hours. My daughter felt unsafe so decided to pack up and leave. Tried to get a refund from orbitz but denied due to it being up to the property management. The room that was given to us was already being occupied by I’m assuming people who broke in. Anyways long story short stay away if you have a family. If your male and solo it’s good for a nights crash other than that… stay safe in and around that area.

This location was cool cause it was really close to the hotel plus a restaurant connected to it that gives you options of food for only $7 a plate so we had dinner for like $20 and you get to choose five breakfast options for free. They’re nice meals too, It wasn’t a breakfast buffet. One meal was an 2egg/cheese omelette with hashbrowns, toast, and sausage. The pool is nice too. The hot tub could’ve been cleaner and warmer, but it is still a nice option to have on a cooler night. We stayed here memorial day 2025 on our way back to Seattle. The room was really nice with the king bed on the pool level so we were able to go out the sliding door straight out to the pool. The bed was super comfortable. We slept for like 14 hours.

Fine for an overnight on a roadtrip

Front desk was very friendly, appreciative of the fenced gated parking. Room and common areas need updating. Random bathtubs sitting in parking lot. My room’s latching lock had been torn off. Hot water took about 5 minutes to heat up in the shower. Just felt a bit rundown.

This is my 2nd time staying here. I have family in Bakersfield so I travel up there a lot. The Clarion is my new go to! I love it there, clean rooms, great staff, great deals on breakfast and dinner at their diner. Shelly and Ruthie were exceptionally accommodating! Thank you!

The property was welll maintainted I liked that the area for parking on the back side of the hotel was secure and you needed your room key to get back there. I was alittle confused I requested two queen beds but they looked like two double beds. Thank goodness two people were only using one bed each here would have been a problem.

The property is very nice, but that is on the outside. I have stayed there twice. The first time I tried to take a shower but it didn't work and when I tried to go out on the veranda the door handle came apart. The second time after a time out with friends I started to turn in but there were no blankets just sheets. I won't try to stay there again.
