The room is literally just bed, i asked the front desk whatâs the amenities in the hotel and she said itâs just a room and the picture of Nipa hut in the internet was all the way to the back itâs hard to find. We end up going to look somewhere so we can eat and have fun
Small inn very popular with Filipino families coming to Baler for the weekend. Rooms renovated and nice. On three levels with stairs a bit steep. Common cooking and eating area on ground level for guests preparing their own food. Very comfortable bed, I slept wonderfully on both nights of my stay. Rooms had a large size flat screen TV which I didn't use.
There is much room for improvement for the location. There is no restaurant or pool at this hotel. Employees are less than active and should be more engaged in cleaning or upkeep of the hotel. Stairs surface may need to be cleaned as appeared dark with possible mold (for this wet location hotel).
Third floor stay [stairs a bit steep and shallow in width). No elevator. Water pressure a bit low for shower and sink. Ammenity kit very basic and most things in it are low quality. Bed has no headboard and walls are concrete (careful not to hit your head). Keyless door lock was sticky and took effort to work properly. Fou d window unlocked. Construction was on hold of expansion while there for 2 days. Water dispenser on third floor in hallway, no water in room. Unsure if water in hall, mineral or bottled water? No glasses or other in room to use for water? Shower water did not stay hot even though insta hot in shower appeared to always be on. Day of deparure heard what appeared to be an electrical ground as something was arcing. Front desk acted like it was normal. Front desk did not do much but verify my name upon check in, later collected money for pet (no receipt for what was paid) and provided towels and toiletries when requested. We were about only guests on site on second day.
The good: comfortable matress, short walk to eateries nearby, short walk to the beach and boardwalk. Shower drained properly, had no issues or lost items, church next door, parking on site, pets allow
Hotel room was big and clean. Shower worked well. Aircon was loud but fine. TV had only one channel and WiFi did not work at all. I asked the staf for short time password bit did not work still. I used data connection in the end. The staff was not helpful, desk often not occupied. I asked for checkout 1pm, they answered not possible but if I pay extra per hour I can do. This is bad customer support.
Best is the short way to Sabang beach, which is beautiful. Be aware that there is a more central spot north of the beach in sabang, you can sit, eat and drink there in many good restaurants or bars.
The hotel is still a good choice for a stay beat the beach.
Disappointing Stay â Would Not Recommend
I recently stayed at Pacific Waves Inn annex. and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. Upon checking in, I immediately noticed several issues that made my stay uncomfortable.
First, the bathroom had no hot water, which made it nearly impossible to take a decent shower.
The TV in the room also wasnât working, which added to the frustration. As if that wasnât enough, I found ants crawling in the roomâdefinitely not the kind of cleanliness I expected from a hotel.
On top of all of this, the front desk staff were unfriendly. Iâve stayed at many hotels before, but this was by far one of the worst experiences. I wouldnât recommend staying here. There are many other hotels in the area that offer better service and amenities.
