The Rocky Mountain Resort was a good hotel. It’s a collection of buildings with units across 6 buildings. The rooms were a bit of a weird layout, and the outside of the buildings could really use some TLC, but it was a really good clean and safe hotel. They offer some cool extras like a tennis court, pickle ball court, pool, outdoor hot tub, indoor hot tub, and a shuttle service into Banff. We didn’t use any of them on our stay just because our room was across the street from the main building, and the shuttle didn’t fit our schedule, but they are there if people are interested.

Room was nice and clean, except for the fridge, there was half of a boba tea in it that was old, since the boba balls had mold growing on them. Other than that everything was good. The kids playground could definitely use an overhaul though.

We liked the area, the way its set up with the pool, gym amd tennis/ pockle ball courts. We liked how quite our area was too. The rooms where clean but found that the floors havent been washed as i droped food on the kitchen floor and wiped it with papertowl, the paper towl was very dirty. Everythjng else was perfect and would go again and this was our secons time at the reaort.

The room smelled awful. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke (even though it was a non smoking room), moth balls and rodents. The balcony had an ashtray overflowing with cigarettes and an empty cigarette package left behind. The bedding was filthy, pubic hairs on the sheets and brown stains. There was dirty socks and garbage in the other bedroom from prior visitors. There appeared to be brown debris (possible rodent excrement) behind the nightstands. The basboard heaters were falling off the walls and had sharp metal edges exposed. The dead bolt was also non functional. All of this was information, including photos, were provided to the front desk. Nothing but excuses were made. It was not worth the amount of money thay was spent on that room. I will never ever stay or recommend this facility to anyone. They should be ashamed.
