Our stay was quite nice. The price was ridiculous but that’s what you get for staying in Banff.

The hotel is convenient for the Banff downtown. We asked for a room that’s away from the Main Street and quieter and the staff was able to accommodate us.

Overall pretty good, but not great. The bedroom and living room in our suite were smaller than I expected for the price paid. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold, which was uncomfortable. We had booked a Deluxe King Suite. When we checked in I was offered the "opportunity" to upgrade our room to a mountain view on the 4th floor. When I asked what the price difference would be I was told that it was an extra $250 per night, but that they had a way to offer it to me for only $150 a night more. I felt like I was buying a used car. The price is the price. Don't play games. If you can give me the upgrade for $150 a night extra, don't tell me it's $250 but you can offer me a "special" deal. We will likely stay somewhere else next time.

It was a superb stay. The front desk is extremely helpful. Amelia went out of her way to assure we knew where everything was. They even booked the gondola for us right on site and gave us free bus transfers! Great place.

The hotel is very convenient to all shopping and restaurants in downtown Banff which is a terrific plus to staying there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. The decor and atmosphere in the public spaces was very nice and the rooftop hot tub was great.

The Moose Hotel was lovely. The location was excellent, the underground free parking was appreciated and the front desk staff was sensational. The first room we were given was clean but horrible. It was tiny and dark; it was ground level and the small window looked into a court yard but the window actually looked directly into a pillar so you saw nothing and no light came in. Right after entering the room I went back to the front desk and decided to pay a bit more to get a second floor room. It was a one bedroom and looked into the courtyard but the view was totally open so very bright. Everything about the hotel was lovely but for the price I did expect a bit swankier. Overall, a nice night away and a good hotel. I’d recommend inquiring very specifically about what floor you’re on and what is outside your window so you’re not disappointed. Excellent front and staff that did make the room upgrade easy to do.

Our one night stay was fine. It was walking distance to downtown, so that was convenient and underground parking was a plus. Main pool was just ok, not as big as I thought it would be but the hot pools and sauna was nice and the view of the mountains was definitely awesome. I didn’t love having to walk through the lobby to get to the elevator to go up to the pool (we were on the first level). Service at the restaurant was lack lustre and had to wait a while for the bill but otherwise food was good. The nightly train passing by honking every hour did keep me up but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
