On our second day (effectively our first full day), we had a serious issue with the toilet in our room—it became blocked and overflowed. We contacted the front desk at around 3 AM as we had to leave early for a sunrise trip, but unfortunately, no assistance was provided until later in the morning. When housekeeping finally addressed the issue, the bathroom floor was left with a lingering unpleasant odor, which we had to endure for the rest of the day. Since we returned late that night, we were only able to file another complaint then, which was thankfully resolved the following morning. However, during the cleaning, we were asked to remain outside the room, which was quite inconvenient. Overall, the response to a basic sanitation issue was delayed and poorly managed, which impacted our experience significantly.

The hotel staff was super friendly and very happy to accommodate all our needs. I appreciate the team and all their efforts. It was good to have a restaurant on site, and very helpful to have free parking. Walkable to downtown but there is also a free bus for hotel guests. Happy to recommend to other travelers!

It is a very good location in Banff downtown. Room was spacious and kitchen/dining room was very good. Hot pool was also very good. I highly recommend staying at Fox Hotel and suites.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fox! We got a standard room (no mini fridge, microwave, or AC), we knew that going into it but I think we would have enjoyed those extra amenities for a future stay. The room had a tea kettle and a coffee pot (cup shaped filter, 4 cup size). We used the boiled water to make oatmeal for breakfast. The hot tub was really nice after long days of hiking. The room and linens were clean, the bottom of the bathtub didn’t look very clean, I cleaned it myself before using it. Expedia advertised a continental breakfast (there was none, but you could buy a $20 plate of food from Chilis starting at 7AM), they didn’t have bear spray to buy or rent at the front desk. They do give you a Roam shuttle pass for your stay, this is good for the local routes not the 8x. The walls were thin, we could hear our neighbors so we used a sound machine and fan to block out extra noise. Over all it was a good stay!

Had a loft suite, Carpet in room was soaking wet from cleaners couldn’t take shoes off. General cleanliness could have been improved. Main concern be careful with this property I Booked prepaid through Expedia, like I do with many stays. I checked out early due to room conditions front staff would not deal with me directly regarding billing, would not provide receipt or even apologize for room conditions this was a major red flag telling me Expedia would have to call for refund and invoice of remaining day(s) on stay. usually this has always been done directly with hotel. Expedia earned the gold star for getting me the refund after a few hours of escalation. Property seems ok, hot tubs cool, just yeah be mindful with billing at this property, customer service was not there, unprofessional.

Ask and you just might receive!

We found our room to be pristine, as expected. We stayed 2 nights on either side of our backpacking trip and enjoyed each stay. The staff was very friendly and super helpful when trying to figure out how to get places or where to eat. The only negative thing I can say, and it's more on me, is that on our first night our pillows were thick and firm and my neck was sore the next morning. The 2nd night we stayed, we had thinner, softer pillows. I'm sure if I had just asked, they would have brought me a more comfortable pillow on our first night. I would definitely stay at this hotel again - and hope I get the opportunity to.
