I stayed here after flying in to Bangor and again before flying out to get back home. This hotel is close to the airport and provides a free shuttle. The Blue Sky restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is super convenient for travelers, arriving at “in between“ times. The rooms are very clean, spacious, with a super comfortable bed. I really appreciate the two complementary bottles of water, that is a really nice extra! What I appreciate most about this place is the super friendly staff! Both the restaurant and hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. That makes a huge difference in a traveler’s experience. I do not know when life will take me back to Bangor, but when it does, the Bangor Grande will be the place that I hang my hat upon my arrival and before my departure!

Second time staying! I can’t say enough about the staff, they are all so friendly and helpful !! Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel has a convenient shuttle to the airport (for a cost) and our driver was very courteous and friendly!

The room was fine ( bed very comfortable).The staff were friendly. My negatives are, no automatic doors. The trouble trying to carry things in to the hotel and trying to get the door open and keep it open was quite the challenge. When leaving today, went down to the lobby for the cart and was informed they only had one cart and a lady from last night must have taken it into the room. A big hotel like that with 1 cart. Unbelievable. We will not be staying there again. Just too hard trying to get in and out of the place.

I am very glad that I booked my stay in and out of Bangor at this hotel. The room is large, comfortable, and exceptionally clean! The bed was super comfortable. The hallway interiors could use some work, mainly painting, but everything else here is completely satisfactory! The hotel is very close to the airport, making it very convenient. After getting my bag, I called the hotel and Aaron was there to pick me up in under 10 minutes! He was very kind and professional, helping me with my bag, checking me in, and helping me with suggestions for dining upon my request. I eat dinner at the Blue Sky Restaurant located in the hotel. The food was good, and the service was exceptional! It was a nice, casual vibe for a good meal and a beer after a long day of travel. The Bangor Grande Hotel is a very good, budget friendly option for a stay in Bangor.

The hotel was conveniently located with only a short driving distance to many shopping and dining options. Above all the staff not only at the hotel but the restaurant were so kind AND helpful. One young lady working the front desk had taken note of the areas we mentioned we had visited in Maine and recommended a fantastic spot to check out. She felt 1A Relics would be something we’d enjoy. We took her advice and it was AMAZING! We didn’t get her name but if you happen to read this… THANK YOU!! All in all our stay here was perfect and I’d recommend it for travellers of all ages!
