Checking in was super easy, informative emails were sent prior to arrival. The location was great but not ski in ski out. There was a decent walk to the slope but honestly it wasnât bad. Our group made the walk 2 of the 3 days. It was a cozy place and very enjoyable. Saturdayâs are packed on the slopes but sundays were great both day and night time skiing.
The house was warm and cozy. Stocked with all things needed to cook meals. Great location to enjoy ski and other activities at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Village Bus provides free transportation to and from Timbers to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful time. The house had the perfect amount of room for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. The directions were a little off due to the storms, but luckily we arrived the same time as housekeeping and she was able to tell us the detour route. We had a clogged sink in the kitchen and a missing remote. Someone came the next day and fixed both issues. We did have to call a couple times to find out when someone would be out.You are able to walk to the slopes, but it is a short hike. You have to walk down the entrance road and down some stairs beside the condos down the hill. The biggest negative of our trip was the parking. It was stressful everytime we went out because there seemed to be more cars than parking spots most nights.Overall, we would stay here again if we were in the area. tell us the detour road.
Nice cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable furniture. Bathrooms a little on the small side, but clean and functional. Excellent views of Sugar Mountain resort and surrounding mountains.
Biggest complaint is not being able to see the exact address prior to booking (VRBO). Thought we booked a ski in / ski out cabin. Definitely not the case.
First of all the place IS NOT ski in/ski out. To access the slopes youâll need to walk through the parking lot, cross a road in the neighborhood and then down several steps. Not convenient, especially with small children. Upon arrival we found diarrhea in one of the toilets. It was also clogged. The entire place was absolutely filthy. I took pictures of dirty glasses and utensils that were put away, stains on walls, back of one bathroom door, etc. The cable does not work. Youâll need to use your own accounts to stream live TV and the internet is awful so youâll only be able to watch for about 20 minutes at a time. Also, Sugar Mountain is a joke. That was an entirely different nightmare for us. I do not recommend at all. We left a day early and looking back we should have left as soon as we arrived. Weâll never return to Sugar Mountain. I did communicate with the rental company and was refunded a small amount of the entire stay. Parking is also an issue on the mountain. I absolutely do not recommend Sugar Mountain. Facilities there are outdated and dirty as well.
Iâve stayed at a lot of other rentals in the area. The master bed was super comfortable. However, the heating in the unit was uneven and the master room was really cold. The house was well set up and the fireplace was easy to use. There was no coffee pot but thatâs okay because we were able to use the Keurig. The house could use extra blankets. Getting to the slopes was not easy by foot and needed to drive to the lot. Iâll likely be back though. It was nice and quiet.
Very nice clean property but this is not a ski in ski out place has claimed. There is a steep curving street just to get to the actual cabins or condominiums that are on the ski slope area and is way too far to walk. I did like they added a Christmas tree place and it had all the utensils and everything I needed to cook and the king size bed was very nice as well as my boys rooms.
very nice rental. Two small negatives, first the lockbox for the key was on the railing across from the door, which had a numerical entry, small stuff but confusing. Second, no curtains on the big living area windows, which made you feel like a fish in a bowl at night. The big picture was, this is a nice rental.
Overall, really good place to stay. Needed better instructions on where the lockbox is located. There's a combo lock on the door so we assumed that was where we used our code. There was a lockbox that was hard to see in the dark when we checked in. We couldn't make the gas fireplace work. You should include clear instructions on how to get it to work.
