Everything was generally good with two exceptions. After placing our lunch order, we waited 1 hour and 33 minutes for our lunch to arrive at our table! This is not acceptable. The employees had their total and full attention on a large table of 20 people. The large group of people placed their food orders 3 minutes before us and were served their food in 35 minutes. Also the breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday is total chaos, on the weekend the service is lacking.

We really enjoyed ourcstay at this hotel. What really made it special was their staff at front desk, baggage handlers, servers and cooks. The cook, Marco, has a touch on everything he cooks. The foof was delicious. The servers and the attention of Jorge, Kevin and Julieth were amazing. We felt like were part of their family. I apologize if I don't remember the names of the rest of the amazing staff. Lastly, I want to thank, Amouri, he always received us with a big smile, he gave us great information and suggestions about the area. He also connected us with a great guide. The guide, Fabian Urbina, knew everyone in the hotel and Barranquilla and surrounding area. He made our stay and our experience here much better. Barranquina now is our favorite city in Colombia and this Hotel Crowne Plaza our new home away from home.

The staff at the hotel are amazing! They are very knowledgeable and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The only thing that was an issue is the bathroom AC. The corner rooms have a lot of glass and the sun make the bathrooms almost unbearable in the morning & afternoon. The vent for the AC isn’t enough to keep the bathroom comfortable.

I was in room 1306 with an amazing floor to ceiling windows overseeing the city, unfortunately due to the exposure to the sun and the locked thermostat temperature, the room becomes inhabitable during the day due to the heat, when I complained they said to close the curtains therefore making me pay for a view I could not enjoy. I believe this one is enough for some sort of refund or some perks for my next stay. Hopefully this complaint in writing will go to who makes decision.
