Hotel location is close to train station, which makes traveling easy. We got a Basel card, which offers free bus/tram rides upon check in. The room is a bit small, but clean. View outside our window is great. Room is warm when we check in, so we open the window. Not too noisy. The breakfast is on top floor, and not to miss the view.

Did not see a pool - or a gym - there was not even a relaxing area. There was no-one on reception on arrival. And the building itself felt like a concrete hostel block. I have zero idea how this hotel ever got a 4 star rating. The rooms were clean, comfy and equipped as advertised and the continental breakfast was plentiful.
