Not So Charming Flat
The check in process was easy, however we opened the front door only to be greeted by a giant stain on the carpet. Once up the stairs the cleanliness was not much better. The couch was ripped and the spring was popping out making sitting on it very uncomfortable. The veneer on the coffee table was chipped and peeling. The kitchen floor was stained, the walls were very dirty, and the bathtub and bathroom ceiling were moldy. I could go on, but you get the idea. I gave the accuracy of description a 3 out of 5 because the of the cleanliness and disrepair of the apartment and furnishings, but also because the description listed a dryer, and the combo unit definitely did not dry. We booked the apartment for 5 people, and only had 3 towels when we arrived. The owner did respond quickly, however, could only get more towels there after 9:00 am the next morning, after we had already gotten ready and had to share towels. We also had to put a 500 hold on our credit card as a deposit, which I did not know about until after I booked. We stayed in many nicer places throughout the UK and didn’t have to do this for any other properties. Overall, this property was a miss.
