We had a wonderful stay at the Inn! Dale and Maree are fantastic and make you feel like part of the family from check in to check out. We stayed on the 4th of July and they offered tips for places we could see the fireworks, and invited us to join them for a cookout with their friends that evening. Unfortunately we were unable to join as we had made prior arrangements. The neighborhood was lovely and very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed a walk around to see the historical buildings and everyone we met was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was amazing! Maree was even able to accommodate my request for a gluten free breakfast (I have Celiac). I was able to eat almost everything without fear of becoming ill. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night! We would definitely love to stay here again for a longer time.
My wife and I had a great time getting away to Bath, NC. Very quiet town and relaxing area. We are always going doing something at home, from 630am to 930pm till we literally crash from exhaustion. I told myself that I needed to find away to a remote area for our anniversary.
Upon arrival to the Inn on Bath Creek, my wife and I were greeted by the wonderful Irish Inn Keeper, Marie. She was very interested about making your time in Bath more to our liking, which was us needing to have peace. Marie was always easy to find if needed and willing to discuss things we could do around the area.
I rented the top room which had a large room, bathroom, and a king sized bed. It was easy to forget we where at a Bed and Breakfast, the Inn was amazingly quiet. In the morning, we were treated to Marie serving us a very wonderful breakfast which was never the same thing and had a Irish twist. We also loved hearing Marie's Irish accent.
Meanwhile, Bath offered exactly what we where looking for, a way to slow down and focus on each other. We enjoyed staying in town and going to the Black Beard Tavern, The Old County Kitchen, and the Marina in town. There was also a library, and a Historical Society that made a great way to understand Bath's background.
Most of the towns people where nice. However I had a impression that some of them also wanted to live a quiet life. Shop keepers were friendly and it was awesome to have a slow southern twist in their interaction.
Thank you Marie and Bath.
The Inn itself is a beautiful property and the rooms are comfortable and cozy! The hosts are so gracious and the breakfast they serve is so delicious and filling!! No worry about leaving there hungry. You will not be disappointed!! If we are ever back in the area we will be staying again!â
This is a most wonderful B&B!! The innkeeper, Marie is so warm and welcoming and not to mention an amazing chef. We were delighted each morning with her varied breakfasts, all completely home cooked.
The inn itself is perfect! Situated across from the waterâs edge, we loved taking in the natural beauty of this area. Our room was so comfortable and private. The common areas of the inn are smartly decorated and warmly inviting. Do yourself a huge favor and make this your next destination when headed to this area!
Our time at the Inn was amazing, and the the breakfast was awesome too. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to try to see.
Marie was a delight! She made you feel like you were more than a guest in her home. I would recommend this Inn for anyone going near Bath NC. An absolute gem!
The Inn on Bath Creek is so peaceful! The loving care of the property in anticipation of guests can be felt in the beauty and careful cleaning of all areas of the Inn. The information book with suggested restaurants and points of interest was sensitively prepared and so helpful. We will definitely return here and recommend it to others who come to this area.
Bath is a small town with a lot of historic character. Nearly all houses were well kept and the place is highly walkable. Citizens, of which there are not many, were very friendly. The streets were wide enough to make a U-turn and street parking was plentiful. If there was a down side, it was that there were few restaurants in close proximity, but then it is a small town. Plenty of places to eat in nearby Washington.
The Inn on Bath Creek is a jewel! The home is very welcoming with a nautical theme and. I stayed in the largest room with an attached sitting room. It was bright and very clean. I had to take a brown bag breakfast the first morning and it was delicious! The 2nd morning was amazing with homemade bread, jams, Swedish pancakes (don't remember the technical name) and sausage links just what I needed before heading out to the airport. I look forward to coming back and seeing more of the area next time.
