The cabin provided a relaxing and secluded retreat close to the shores of Lake Superior with all the modern amenities. The location was excellent only a short walk to a beach and close by the town of Bayfield where we enjoyed the Apostle Island attractions. Hosts were great communicating all the details and made the rental process easy. A great place to stay for enjoying all that the Apostle Islands and surrounding outdoors has to offer!
Our family of four stayed at this adorable cabin just north of Bayfield. The cabin was appointed well with everything we needed for the stay and the hosts were great communicators and thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The porch was perfect for morning coffee and relaxing time, and the cabin is just a short drive into all the fun town of Bayfield has to offer. We would definitely recommend this property!!
We stayed in Bayfield for 3 nights and this house did not disappoint. Itâs just a few miles north of downtown Bayfield, and is nestled in the woods in the Brickyard neighborhood. The house is very well cared for, clean, with quality appliances, linens, and bedding. This house is also tastefully decorated without a lot of knick-knacks cluttering up the space. Everything is comfortable in the house and itâs a very quiet area. There is a beautiful screened porch but it was too chilly for us to use it, so we would have appreciated a folding card table to set up for playing games. Other than that, the house was perfect for us!
Very clean cabin andgood communication with owners. It took a minute to find this place because it was so eloquently placed into the forest to insuring a minimal destruction to the ecosystem. We really enjoyed spending time at the beach. We visited in April so it was definitely an off-season time to be there. My only request would be to get rid of the Wi-Fi and just force us all to be outside.
Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway with everything you need for a calm and relaxing weekend. We are already looking at dates to come back in the summer to do some kayaking.
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for; it was the right amount of remote, beautifully designed, full working kitchen, incredible screened in porch, very clean, and the fireplace made the inclement weather seem almost welcome.
The Superior Sanctuary was lovely - it had all the furnishings and space we were looking for. It is located close to downtown Bayfield and is 20 minutes from other areas and attractions. The hosts were communicative and we were generally prepared for our stay.
The cabin is super cute with a great porch setting. Two issues we had as two couples staying here: 1) Upstairs loft âbedroomâ is not private or soundproof. 2) A card table or another small table indoors would be helpful when the weather doesnât allow porch access or to work on a puzzle (porch table is wrought iron with holes in it).
The bathrooms and kitchen are updated and very nice. Also, the living room and fireplace are comfy and cozy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!
Bayfield is close by and beautiful!
I loved staying at this cottage! The location is perfect, surrounded by woods but close to Bayfield and the Apostles. The cottage is a perfect blend of functional and cozy. We stayed during a snowstorm and it was absolutely magical to see the snow on the trees outside and warm up by the fireplace. The host was very responsive to questions I had before the stay and made sure everything went smoothly. I'd definitely book again next time I'm heading up north.
Amazing cabin, perfect space for two couples. Well maintained, clean and updated. We loved the screen porch, you felt one with nature. We had rain several days so did not use the trails much on the property as they were too wet. Dont miss sunrise at the beach!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin was charming, clean, and comfortable. The cherry on top of this rental was the surprisingly beautiful and serene Brickyard Creek trail right outside our door!
Our group had two couples. The cottage was very comfortable, private, and convenient to take advantage of the many things to do in the Bayfield area (you did need to drive to town but it was close). It is well kept and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. There is a nice beach a short walk from the cottage and several trails throughout the property for easy walks. Two bathrooms is a plus for two couples. The highlight is the large screened porch (shown in the picture) to eat, relax, play games, and enjoy the quiet of the surrounding woods.
Three generations came together to celebrate a young adult who completed hiking all 50 Wisconsin State Parks. We hiked Big Bay State Park together as a finale. The cottage served as a perfect base for both that hike and Lake Superior kayaking the next day. Enjoyed seeing foxes, deer and listening to hundreds of birds on the great screen porch.
We hade an incredible time staying in the Brickyard Creek cottage! We enjoyed reading in the screen porch in the evenings listening to the ambient sounds of birds and nature, while being protected from the mosquitos. Very close to town and the lake while being able to have peace and quiet in our own area was the perfect combination! (our only gripe was that the couch being small and uncomfortable, not bad!)
