The staff at this hotel made my stay a delight. They were so friendly and helpful. The whole staff was excellent, but Linda was invaluable with her fluent English and willingness to help with matters beyond the hotel reservation. I appreciate them all so much.
The hotel is situated on a bustling and vibrant pedestrian street lined with hundreds of restaurants and shops, yet it remains peaceful and serene inside. The subway is conveniently located, making it easy to access any part of the city.
I am grateful to have stayed here, and it is now one of my favorite properties in the world.
The reason why I gave the property and facilities a four star instead of a five star is due to the fact that their 3 person room is tight. It doesn't have much space for all luggages if each person has a full size luggage. I gave the area around the property a 3 star because people were riding bikes and mopeds in the alley making it a nuisance to walk with so many tourists.
Regardless of these not so positive comments, I would definitely go back to stay here. All staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Lynn. She speaks English, and made sure we were comfortable. Another staff member also very kind and perceptive. She went and got me a bottle of cold water pretty much as soon as I walked in having come back from walking around outside.
They were also accommodating. They didn't have an issue with us switching rooms after we stayed one night. The room we had was simply too small for my family of three. They even showed us the bigger rooms and allowed us to choose which room we preferred. We paid a little extra for a room that is meant for four people, but it was worth it.
I made good memories while I was in China. This hotel is a very reasonable choice with excellent location, culture, shopping, service, and price. I'm going to choose this place next time I come to China. Especially as many people have told me, the employees are really kind. From the first check-in, they welcome you with warm words and actions, and laundry is included in the service. I asked for it because the output was urgent, but the staff here (lin) responded very well. Thank you.
We really enjoyed the place. Nice size rooms and the location was great. Nice staff very friendly and helpful.
We definitely would book again in our next trip to Beijing. Thanks.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Service was excellent. Staff was helpful with reservations for attractions, laundry, etc. However, toilet flushing and water supply broke down during our 9 days stay.
The boutique hotel is conveniently located close to the main attractions. The staff is outstanding … exceeding our expectations by far. Amenities and services are a very welcome addition. We would return again and we highly recommend it!
This is very great hotel with culture elements of Beijing Hutong. Super clean, special and quiet. The staffs are very nice. My overall feeling is just like at home. Life is easy to stay here, a lot of good restaurants could be found around the hotel and short way to metro station. The environment is so safe that we can eat out by the hotel at 11:00pm without any safety concern. Anyway, very strong recommendation for staying here.
This hidden gem is located in one of the busiest shopping streets - nicknamed “Snack Street” for all the tasty foods available there. The staff was welcoming and helped us settle in. The rooms were nicely furnished with everything we needed. Our room had a king and 2 doubles so it fit our family comfortably. Our boys shared a room with 3 doubles so each person had a nice big bed. There’s lots to do and see and easy access to local attractions. Would definitely recommend.
The staff are amazing and gracious people. They are very good with foreign guests. The room was clean and comfortable. They also do your laundry for free! What a bonus! As others have said, this is an excellent travel hotel. It’s in a lively Hutong pedestrian shopping street, so there is no vehicle directly to the hotel. I would suggest taking a car to the north gate of the street. If you take the subway, it takes about 1/2 mile on foot from the south gate. It’s a convenient location for accessing most Beijing sights. We were on the go and didn’t spend much time hanging around in the room, but it’s great for a shower and good nights sleep. The vibe is family friendly, so it’s not a place for party animals. There are some nice books to borrow, a table for 6-8 in a pleasant lobby with refreshments to buy. Plenty to see and shop and eat right outside the door. The neighborhood has an authentic China feel, with lots of locals and tourists enjoying the atmosphere. The street has good security and lots of cameras so there are no issues with overbearing salespeople or pickpockets. Again, the staff are a gem! Very welcoming and friendly and helpful.
This is an excellent hotel in Beijing. The room is clean. The staff and receptionists are outstanding specially Dana, the 2 Lynns’,Bob,etc. They are generous in water and other useful things. Although there was no elevator in going down to our room (R307)my daughter was able to exercise.
My daughter walks on tiptoes due to her medical conditions. There is an elevator from the lobby to every level except in some areas. The staff helped us all the way through in our needs like transportation, etc
We would like to thank everyone who made our stay memorable. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and customers.
This is a budget choice in a Hutong (walking only lane area) and I was aware of that at the time of booking. You need to walk a couple of hundred meters to get to the entrance from the street where your taxi (Didi) will drop you off.
The reception staff were welcoming and offered green tea on arrival. The first room we had was an upstairs downstairs (mezzanine) configuration with a one bed up and the other down. It was pretty tight for the three of us and large cases so I asked for a larger room and was given a room with more space. The room was clean and shower good. Don't expect a view if your room has a window.
Plenty of bottled water was supplied each day loaded into a small fridge Chinese channel on TV only. Bed was comfortable with a soft and hard pillow. You need to put your toilet paper in a bin and not flush it. Room was secure, but no room safe.
The location is handy to Metro and walking distance to Drum and Bell towers and the lake area with many restaurants and bars. There is a Starbucks at the entrance and a good restaurant on the ground floor. Overall good value for those on a budget and was pleased with my choice.
Location! Right on the busy hutong but very quiet inside. Bonus: Starbucks within a couple of steps! Friendly staff. Easy walk to Drum and Bell Towers. Recommend!
