Booked a 1 night getaway as a treat. We had afternoon tea and as a coeliac was delighted with the gluten free option. The plain scone was particularly nice for being an gf scone. In the evening, we went to Grand Cafe to get something to eat, very very limited of what I could have and ended up having nachos, which were very tasty but not something I would like to have for my main meal. At breakfast the hostess was very pleasant and showed me everything I could have then took my order and the chef made me a fresh gluten free hot breakfast with anaemic toast. When I asked for butter and jam, the waiter told me he would go and check and 10 minutes later, he came back to say only butter and jam was beside the toaster. In fortunately the little tubs of butter were covered in crumbs. While the staff are pleasant and try to make your stay comfortable, I wouldn’t recommend relying on eating here as a coeliac if you want a good choice. Anything that was provided was lovely but just not a great choice.

The location was great and the staff efficient and friendly including very efficient, polite and competent wait staff. Only issue was a sink that did not drain well. We mentioned it, but was not fixed.

One of the best in Belfast

The Grand Central is a fab hotel. Perfectly located within the City enabling you to explore everything. The rooms are large clean and comfortable. A meal in the Seahorse restaurant is a must. On the pricey side but definitely worth every penny. Drinks in the Observatory are expensive but still worth a visit just to see the view. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Belfast.
